WIP Lysander

A new WIP before I start a Deathwing army commission, just to get in the feel of doing termies again...

The yellow was preshaded with an airbrush for zenital highlighting. It\'s coming out nicely.

Nice one on the checks, a little extra for a warm up piece! Looking forward to seeing the yellow highlights go on. I\'ve read about the zenithal spray approach but not tried it, sounds like you\'re pleased so far. B.

Face looks excellent, yellow\'s also good so far. I don\'t know if it\'s the photo but the paint looks little thick on some areas, I also don\'t entirely appreciate the freehand - but it\'s a personal taste.

looking great so far, really like the red of the cape, what colours did you use? Very nice blending :)

looks neat the yellow is great altho i have to second apz a bit about the freehand, it\'s not bad it but it looks almost orkish. but again, that\'s just a matter of taste.

The cape is VMC burnt cadmium red blended up to VMC red, then a VMC red / GW dwarf flesh mix for the extreme highlights.

After getting a 6.0 average, I
decided that pulling Lysander out for further tweaking was required. Here\'s the result after adding some more sepia and yellow/ivory glazes:

Overall it has a nice feel to it and i like the crisp clean freehand work you have done. Personally I would add more shading to the yellow and the white on the shield to make more of a contrast
