I like it actually, I\'ve done some mental sketches and I just might go for something like that. I have had a hard time coming up with how I want the shoulders to look.
I found a clean tutorial about how to make them HERE that inspired me a lot. I think I\'ll make those but instead of the roman style \"leather\" I\'ll go for patches of fur I believe
fur pelts i would have thought would go over the shoulders, its your call but what about chain mail, big thick chunky chain mail, capable of stopping rockets, maybe a few chains wrapped around the arms etc
Chains feels a bit too much Black Templars to me, my thought was to make the shoulder guards and then wrap some rope around them with a piece of fur hanging down from under the guard... But that\'s a later issue, for now I will start building those guards.
space wolves heh i think any self respecting wolve wouldnt mind chain mail instead of the roman leather straps hanging from is armpits im thinking barbarian here not nambipambi uptight templars:drunk:
Ah! perhaps I should read the Mail before commenting on the Chains! lol
Now, I have to agree with you again, chain mail does sound cool. Perhaps a combo of chain mail with patches of fur over them... (can\'t let go of that fur! lol)
Well, here we have a couple of shoulder guards!
I will add detail and such later, just wondering if you guys like the design of them. if it looks totally off I\'ll remake them
I really like them, but I think they are too large. If you maybe scaled them down a bit (dont ask me how much though) they would look perfect. Maybe Just so they dont stick out so far from the normal shoulders, if you get my meaning.
I have done a bit of photoshoping and came up with this, It is a bit quick but you get the idea i hope. took away about 4 or five mm of the outer \"pads\"
Three layers on them instead of two then?
That was my original idea actually, but I wasn\'t sure if they\'d get over sized. But since we now are two who have had the same idea I am starting to consider it again...
And here I have a tacked version where I have made a quick leg armor, i have decided to keep the shoulders as they are for the time being, after asking around for peoples opinions I have found that there are more opinions on improvement than there are people advising at the moment.
the shoulder pads are absolutely spot on really well done they look completely in proportion as they are a few studs as you have done on the main body and robert\'s your fathers brother.i think you need to re think the shin guards though the shape seems a little off to me
