WIP New Asurman

I don\'t like the Dire Avenger\'s Pheonix Lord - Asurman

SO, I decided to give a go at making one with the extra bits from my Dire Avenger plastics, and some bits from my bits box.

Here are the preliminary pieces:

The head:

The Torso w/ banners and tassels:

The Legs(not too much here):

And The Right Sword arm w/ Pistol mounted:

I plan on adding some carved up kroot shoulder pads to make him look a little closer to the original, but I have no plans for a cape. I think it would be a bit much.
I am not sure of the positioning yet, as I am not sure if I\'ll be basing him overlooking from a vantage point or on the ground.
Let me know your suggestions.

I\'m thinking I like the way Djartistknight painteed his FW version.

I will try and do a similar scheme for my little one.

a cape *may* be too much but have a look when then whole thing is put together.

i like the idea of him standing back for a second, surveying the battle before rushing in where he is most needed

works for me. it looks right (it\'s hard to tell in a photo) but make sure the streamers are flying backwards in the direction he\'s moving in

I\'m thinking him standing on a hill and the streamers are blowing.
I haven\'t decided if addind the ammo feed on the right hand would be too busy.

ok, I’m a nit picker........that’s a strong wind blowing the banners and ribbons, so I think his cloth whatever it is he is wearing on his lower torso should have more wind movement too.

I\'ve done a bit more on the one.
The face was scratched into the plastic face-plate, I cut the face-plate out and put in an actual face.
I\'ve decided that I\'m also going to go with the blue/white/golden color scheme.
And just for Ms. Pony, I will be repositioning the banner streamers.

I was hoping to put up some pics to go along with the changes. It will have to wait until I get my new computer Wednesday, as the USB ports fried on this one.

@Ms. Pony ~ I have removed the streamers to be repositioned, after staring at it for an hour, trying to decide, I decided that if I had to explain thermal dynamics and wind shear on differing fabrics everytime I showed the mini, the effect was pointless.

Also, I am partial to remaining \"fluff\" approved, but I would still like some help with the color scheme.
I don\'t like the original much, but it is Iconically recognizable.
I want to stay within Dire Avenger color schemes, but represent the founder of their shrine.
Any help and advice would be welcome.
