Hello everyone. My name is Tom, I\'m 14 years old and I live in the Netherlands. I have recently bought Forge World ork boss on bike and I thought it would be nice to post the wip here. Sorry if I make some spelling mistakes but English is not my first language.

For those who are interested here are the parts of the model.

After cleaning up all the parts with a knife I decided ,due the complexity of the kit, to assemble and paint it in sub-assemblies.

Here is a pic of the complete model.

Now I only have to prime it black and the painting can begin!
C&C are most welcome.

I tried to do blend the skin but it was very difficult. However I think it turned out pretty nice.

I\'m not sure how to paint the body armor like the shoulderpads, so if you have a cool idea just post it.

C&C are very welcome.

This all looks great ! With regards to the shoulder pads, maybe continue the theme of the Warboss and drybrush the metal on. The rest of the armour could be red, like the \'boss. You could go for the Evil Sunz Speedfreak look! Also, for Evil Sunz don\'t forget flamez!!!

I adore this FW figure, and when I can justify the cost of it in my mind (something that doesn\'t take very long  ) then I\'ll be giving it a go.

Yours is looking great though - the head\'s looking suitably \'orky\'!

Let me know what you think of it.

I finished the ork his leather jacket and his pants.
I started on the shoulderpads but they are a bit plain, so if you\'ve got an idea please tell me.

Hey all!
I have tested my new light box today, and it worked pretty good.
The concept is based on this article: http://www.coolminiornot.com/article/aid/713 (Thanks lizcam!).

For the painting I started on the front guard of the bike.
I went for a really weathered dark red look because if the red was to fierce it would draw the attention of the more important parts of the model.
The wheel needs some dirt on it but because I still don\'t know if I like the base the way it is, I\'ll leave the wheel until the rest is done. (suggestions for the base are welcome)

Nice looking biker boss there kulandini. The only thing I can possibly offer here is helping smooth out the blends on the skin. Maybe a thin wash of green ink or a very thinned wash of Dark Angels Green would help to smooth out those transistion lines between colors. You might have to do another once over of the last highlight color but it should help mask those transitions a bit.

I would try this on a regular boy though first to see what will happen and how thin it should be. I\'d hate to see the great foundation you\'ve got here get ruined or end up in a state you don\'t like. Trying this for the first time on such a fantastic (read: $$$$$) model like this, only to have to redo it would suck.

As for the lightbox: nice start but it might help to add another light coming from in front as well. The way it looks now, it looks like you\'re using natural light coming in from a window or some such and it\'s not enough to overcome the lights from the sides/back so it\'s still leaving a good amount of shadows in front. Another tip could be to get a sheet of bright white beteen you and the model to help bounce some of that light back towards the front of the model.

It\'s always good to see something come together for someone and yours is coming along nicely.

Good Luck!

PS: I just noticed... orcs dont have armpit hair? ???

Orks are naturally hairless. The orcs you see with hair are just orks who stick a special hair-squig on their head for a topknot.

On topic: lookin\' good so far kuladini! I agree with suki on the skin blends, though.

Definitely agree. It\'s suprising how thin you can have the glaze and it still have an effect on the transitions though - I think on my current ork, I\'ve probably put on about 7 or 8 incredibly thin glazes, and whilst it doesn\'t affect the colour hugely, it definitely helps smooth things down nicely!

Thanks for all the helpful tips sukigod!
Your treads have always been a huge source of inspiration for me. In fact they were one of the reasons I started an ork army.
I will definitely work on the skin tomorrow.

That\'s pretty cool, I didn\'t know that.

That\'s nice to hear. I\'ll give it a try.

Thanks for the tip. I\'m still having problems with photographing. I tried to use another lamp in the front and it turned out much better!
