WIP S.O.B Exorcist

due to the horrid range of Exorcist models ive decided to create my own using a little inspiration from the Repressor tank from the Forgeworld range, the main chassis of the tank is from an old old old Scythes of the emperor army so please do excuse the messy rhino.

Really nice start there, looks suitably different from the original. I have to say, I quite like the original actually, but each to his own, eh? ;)Oh yeah, and the Sister looks great aswell, any chance of a pic of her? :)

Cheers,
Tom

an update to the Missile launch system, basic shell of the launcher & turret are put together although im not sure about the over all look, the turret pivot is permanent however design ideas for the actual launch shaft would be appreciated, however heres what i have,

It looks good but I can\'t shake the feeling that it looks too big. Have you got another tank you can put next to it to show possible scale with one without the launcher. The overall design is good it might just be the stark white next to the black tank thats making it look so big. How about just taking the far right rocket tube out??? Hope that helps didnt mean to bash your idea I do like it :D

nah thats totally fine, i feel some what the same way too although i\'m looking at it seeing what i can trim down, taking the top tube off would just make it look too delicate for a long range bombardment launcher and taking the right one off would make it look too tall, im thinking about bulking up the sides of the rhino with extra armour so that it doesnt look so strange being so tall.i may also add a missile loading arm to the back of the rhino, some what like a tech marine arm. although again im unsure.

just bought a bunch of GS to make all the sisterish trimmings such as the Herald & seals. aswell as the witch binding manuscripts .

Yeah I like the arm idea you could build a cage type thing to hold the rockets in and make it look like a large gun magazine with a large spring loaded panel to push the rocekts up. Ive seen a guy on ebay (.co.uk version) who sells large spings which might fit the bill!!!!

my second turret attempt, this has a more halo feel that celestine has on her backpack
ill be building a loading arm from the back of the tank.

tell me what you think?

I have to be honest in that I\'m not struck on either of the options you\'ve presented so far.
The First did look ungainly, and the second although it does match the Halo of the SOB looks in-ellegant. I\'d be tempted to go for a Gatling gun like effect with Clusters of launch tubes on either side of the mounting.

One thing I do like and am considering for one of my Exorcists is the increased height of the vehicle. Does make it somewhat impressive.

i myself liked the first idea. very 30s 40s era larger is better missile tube. the idea dragonsreach had is very good also. i think the idea you have now is nice but could use a more symmetrical (a la\' the tau SkyRay) look.
good luck

that would be cool.

i agree with both of you, that idea would look awsome, maybe one of two main tubes on each side with a revolver style mag on the back, so it looks like it could fire as many missiles as fast as u can pull the trigger hehe.
i quite like the first idea as well with the oversized launcher, seems like the imperium need something like that hehe. but the gatling gun idea if defo the way foward

ive continued the halo arc style launcher for the sake that an exorcist fires 1 to 6 missiles per turn, either 1-6 from all tubes or 1 missile clusters into 1 - 6 smaller ones, i\'m not entirely sure but hey.

im also creating the Gatling style launcher simply because it does sound darn fun. with twin magazine, i may also make it look like an upside down Uzi style with the missles in the bay although to me that really sounds entirely orky!

two new updates with my chosen turret

ive base coated it simply to see how the model comes together rather than two obtrusive white and black parts. next comes the GSing of the Sisterhood coat of arms & various Scolls n all that jazz

that is very cool.....i wish i could make stuff like that....i just cant find the parts..or supplies....BOOOOO HOOOOOOO for me. dang you are good!

Its pretty easy really, with a good set of blades, an exact metal rule & a cutting board, along with some rubber nose pliers & precise modeling clippers you can do anything

all you need is a box of SheetStyrene card which comes in about 300 varieties of shapes and sizes, i just bought a selection of tubes, sheets and strips.

all you need from there is a good reference or a nice clean sheet of paper and a pencil ;)

Its looking good mate, looks alot more solid and practical than before. Any more thoughts on the loading rack on the back?

I like the base structure of this, but I think you really need some more structure, pistons, casing, armour, rails, twinkets, knobs, wires, small tubes, lights, probes, sencors, electrical stuff, springs, buttons, cardreaders, mechanical parts - some more some thing. It looks a little too much just like plastic tube at the moment. Don\'t get it the wrong way, it looks good but you can make it look even better.
