help re positioning
cheers for the comments uberdark re the gun i had planned to have him holding the rifle up in the air by the forestock in his left hand whilst plugging in a cable from the bike with his right hand as if to place it on charge, the scout back pack, shoulder pads, cape and a few other bits n bobs are gonna be set up around the bike along with a bed roll and stove as if he\'s made camp. im undecided as yet as to whether or not i should do a desert 0r jungle setting for the theme any suggestions at this stage are more than welcome p.s. the scouts modelled on techno viking youtube

i have taken uberdarks advice and placed the rifle up vertically the other hand is holding a magazine

[/img]the model\'s first fixing to make sure that it al fits an looks the part any feed back would be great im still undecided as to whether or not to do a desert or jungle type theme for the camoflage and base

Coming along nicely.
Not sure if it\'s too late. Only thing I would say, his pose doesn\'t quite look right.
Holding the gun in the air by the grip while looking at the reader in his other hand, not natural.
Ideally, rest the butt of the gun on his leg and just have his hand just cupping the body of the gun. This looks more casual/natural. All the weight of the gun will be supported by his leg.
I know it will be a bit of cutting and resulpting.
Just a suggestion.

cheers for the input the left hand\'s actually holding a magazine clip with the neuro toxin darts(bit of fluff 4 u the sniper rifles fire a laser containing the aforementioned darts) and i was trying for a pose that appears as if he\'s reloading the weapon also there is going to be a cable coming from the bike console into the socket of the rifle(right side) again the look im going for is re charge , as for the position of the rifle well theres a rather large bolt pistol and holster going in just under the stock on his right thigh my apologies for the poor quality of photo\'s. i would really like opinions from you as to the colour theme of the model im sort of going towards a desert cam look. the whole thing when complete is hopefully going to look like he\'s stopped, set up camp and is reloading, recharging etc ive to start on the body armour, power pack and a few other odds n ends for the camp . once again thanks for the comments cheers lads 
Looking great Cassar, though i wouldn\'t personally put the rifle recharging, i would have the cable looking as though it has just been unplugged, as though the scout was resting and has heard possible movement, so he has quickly run across unhooked his weapon that was charging and is now slapping in a magazine to scope out his target.
Makes sense for all his equipment being lead around

cheers lads the inputs great i will tinker with your suggestion cleezy and see what its like, im thinking of drapping the cable either over the fuel tank or the handle bars, ive no more picts at the moment as the bike, rifle and a few other bits are covered in primer and drying in the garage at the moment but keep the help coming if you\'ve any pictures of your suggested colour schemes id like to see em.

A desert scheme would definitely look cool. Lots of possibilities for nice little gear and detailing, lots of dusty weathering etc etc.
Another alternative pose that might look cool would be te set him up as though he\'s ready to fire with his rifle resting on the handlebar. Like he just stopped for a good opportunity shot.
Say, is it just me or does it seem the bike sagged a bit on the joint of the front wheen and main body. The foot plate seems to be very close to the ground and the bolters seem to be pointing up a bit.
As for the pose, looks cool but indeed it\'s have him rest the stock on his thigh or in his hip. It will look a lot more natural.
On another note, you gonna leave him nekkid like that or is the scout armour still to come?

Nothing gets past you meph, you are correct the front fork assembly was detatched from the body as were the bolters to aid painting in the photo they are just placed roughly in the right position to see give me a rough idea of the direction im taking. the back pack and shoulder pads ive just started about an hour ago i plan on doing them stacked to the side of the back wheel exhaust im planning on improvising a strap harness type of setup connecting the pads and backpack together something like riot gear. the desert theme\'s the one to go for the advice is much appreciated cheers. p.s yes he\'s gonna be topless i plan on giving him tribal type tattoos, i think he\'s too buff to cover up,lol
On the base :
how\'s about something like martian soil, a nive red-hued desert, with a couple of nice rocks strewn around, and a big rock on the side of the base, something to make camp against, maybe even a \"natural\" outcrop, to build a campfire under.
on the scout :
how\'s about painting the armor plates in a chapter color, and the cloth of his breeches in a camo pattern that matches the base.
you might even pick a nice contrasting color in relation to the base (eg. ultra marines on a martian base) and have the armor plates and other chapter color stuff strewn around the camp...
