And here we have some new interior shots. The walls have had some plates added and a few ornaments placed.

Ok, this might not be much but its something, and if you\'ve studied my sketch you just might figure out what it is...

It did worry me a while ago actually, so I took a length of it and tried priming it. It doesn\'t stick as well as if I would\'ve primed plastics but it will manage people touching it.

Ok people, now its time for another update.

Sat in my hobby room looking at how to integrate the cannon into the model and still maintain the ability to open it up in a nice looking way. I realized that that would be a really large problem with the design I had at the moment.
I decided to cut away the \"turret\" part of the roof and make it a separate part. that way I could keep the cannon in the tank when lifting the roof, making room for a nice interior effect.

With this done I realized I had to fasten the front roof somehow, the stability it had gained while being attached to the upper floor was totally gone now.
So, I made two locks on each side of it that would fasten it against the upper flooring.

That gave it exactly the stability I wished it to have, and a possibility to create some sort of new lock for the top roof as well, that is yet to come though.

Here is a shot of the interior from the front:

I need another ladder from the Bane blade kit... Bummer.

Ok, most of the pictures are viewable again. There are a few that I just can\'t find or know how to place. If anyone remembers what should be where the pics are missing, please, do tell.

Well then, here we are.

Built a ledge for the cannon to rest on

I tried the oh-so-popular method of magnetizing for the first time on this model here.
It needed some stabilization but when it was modified enough i believe it has what it takes to keep the gun in place.

When that was done it was time to start building the pivoting point of the cannon,
I made this by simply gluing pieces of sprue together

A bit of drilling and cutting made those two pieces fit onto the pivoting point together with the magnetized piece shown earlier.

After that was done it was time to take out the old pipe cutter and start making the pistons I had in the sketch. Pretty simple construction, two pivoting points on two pipes of plasticard fitting into each other

Not sure if I will have them like this but the current design is this:

I gave the gun a small face lift and then dry fitted it with the pistons inside the tank, looks quite nice this far I\'d say.

That\'s for tonight\'s update! Any suggestions?

\"Any suggestions?\"
How about a \'home sweet home\' motto on the wall?:p
I got the impression of a living room when I saw the interior (first pic of page 5).

Awesome work, extremely detailed, I can\'t wait till you get more done.

There is a lot of room in there, the tank commander model in the baneblade kit can stand without problem(hat and all) under the lower roof.
That will change though, I plan on adding a lot of detail and whatnot\'s to the roof and walls in general.

i know this wont happen, but itd be awesome if you could put it in a small area of the room devoted ton xenological disection, with a table with a sliced open alien/bits of alein lying on it, with numerous surgical instruments beside it. to justify its presence in the tank, you could have various different plasma charges, shells and charges beside the body, as if one crewman was using his hobby to figure out the best weapon for oblitarating the tanks foes:drunk:
by the same token, maybe a wall covered in a mediacal supplies, a good one would be something like the bacta tanks of star wars:

plasma barrel

i realise its a little late in the day for what im about to suggest but bear with me, the wires you have placed around the barrel to emulate plasme coils are spot on however would you consider changing them out for the clear tubing that you can get from diy stores then running blue ink washes through said pipes to give a tint to the inside then use your electrical skills to wire them up so they glow as opposed to painting them, just a crazy thought, by the way awesome build.

Curse you! :D That is actually a very nice idea! And on top of it I think I have added one more row of LED\'s than I actually need with the new idea I have on reactors... I just might extend the project a bit... :D

And it wouldn\'t be that much work even, the LED\'s are blue already so all I\'d need to actually do is to change the tubing and connect the two surplus lights...

sorry about the extra workload, if it helps i recently plummed in one of those american style freezers and it needed the water feed pipe extended the pipe i got is roughly the same diameter as the wire youre using
