Well then, here we are.
Built a ledge for the cannon to rest on
I tried the oh-so-popular method of magnetizing for the first time on this model here.
It needed some stabilization but when it was modified enough i believe it has what it takes to keep the gun in place.
When that was done it was time to start building the pivoting point of the cannon,
I made this by simply gluing pieces of sprue together
A bit of drilling and cutting made those two pieces fit onto the pivoting point together with the magnetized piece shown earlier.
After that was done it was time to take out the old pipe cutter and start making the pistons I had in the sketch. Pretty simple construction, two pivoting points on two pipes of plasticard fitting into each other
Not sure if I will have them like this but the current design is this:
I gave the gun a small face lift and then dry fitted it with the pistons inside the tank, looks quite nice this far I\'d say.
