WIP: Stormblade with interior

Damn! What can NOT happen just happened.
I miscalculated my cutting force and my knife ran amok. Here is what happened:
The good news is that I have not decided what is going to be up and down yet.
I am considering cheating and just make that side the underside. Otherwise it would take me another days worth of salvaging and repair and frankly, that is the most boring part on the whole model so it is either making it the downside or using the old cannon. I am NOT building a third cannon.

The cannon is near finished now, only rivets and details left. i have strayed from my original design quite a bit in order to provide some space for the circuit. But as chance might have it, I studied the pictures of the original tank and realized that there were a lot of things that was wrong or just odd with my first cannon, this one feels more like the original than my first attempt.
And I am glad I got talked into making the cannon glow, this looks awesome in my opinion.

you have taken your sweet time with this cannon, however it appears to be time well spent, looking really good just dont get paint on the coils when you paint itlol
what about a muted after glow effect coming from the muzzles? dull orange like the barrels still hot.
i just said that because by now i realise you are slightly obssesive an this will drive you nuttslol

AND, when he\'s done with all of this sillyness, Chrome will make a project for ME!
Meet the P1500 Monster, a mobile artillery piece based around the Railway-carried 80cm Dora. The first two pictures are of a modeled Dora, the last a possible version of the Monster. We\'ve talked of it, and I\'ll get his woman to work him for me.
Oh, and to just put it in general persepctive...the Dora is twice the width of the Iowa-class 16-inchers.

remember the germans during ww2 they had the best tanks in the world they where high quality machines that totally outclassed the rest the world could produce.... however they took too long to produce and couldnt be made in sufficient numbers and ultimately were swamped by the lesser massed produced inferior tanks of the era. so extract the digit an get thisbad boy finished already:guitar:

It seems this digit has to stay in place throughout the year. :/
Perhaps even till easter but I just might sneak something in in between just to keep my spirits up.
I've got commissions all over the place atm and I really need to clear my table a bit. Especially since I'm getting new ones all the time. XD
