I'm rather liking the rough look already.
I will let it stay like that.no more painting inside.
Don't want to mess it up now.
One golden tip, when drybrushing...
Suggestion registered!
But I didn't use that technique...

I applied several coats of a mixture of:
5 parts of blue sky
1 part of turquoise
5 parts water

and then using a sponge one coat of a mixture of...
4 parts smoke
1 part turquoise
5 parts water

For the tiny bit you did so far, it looks great. Thumps up!
Thank you!
=D
I can recomend gws new dry brush paints for ehm..drybrushing:) they make it alot easier.
GWs and Citadel is it the same? I'm still confused about that. =S

Would you like yours frozen or on the rocks?
It doesn't matter... just keep them coming!

Yes gw and citadel are the same. One tip when painting interiors and you want that scuffed look to the floors is paint the base coat, turquise in this instance, then take a block of blister pack foam or similar. Rip a small wedge of it and dip it in a dark greyish color. Wipe most of the paint of the foam and then dap the floor lightly with the foam. With a little practice it should look like the floor paint has been scoffed off by numerous booted feet.

Haven't been able to build very much...
I've cutted the "spoiller" it looks much better now.

But yesterday I was able to paint.
Here are some pictures of the pilot.
The job is light-years from what you normally see here...
but I am happy with the result!
It ended up much better than I expected.

Just passing by to let you guys (and girls) know that progress have been made since the last time I posted some updates.
First I lost the time to make the updates here and then I lost ALL the time I had to work on the ship.
Tomorrow I will try to upload some pictures so you can see it and give me your precious opinions.

Well...
I haven't been able to work on my StormChicken...
but I wanted to show you what's done...
and know your opinion about it.

I mounted the support for the engines...
just a simple holder that will later fit to the wing.

Cutted some pieces to thicken the engines...

didn't liked the result...
add to tear it down...

...I've rebuild it...
but I don't have pictures of it right now (I'll post them on another update).

I also did the landing gear.
Nothing very fancy.
(the pictures are not very good... I was also working fast... and when I do that I tend to forget to take step-by-step pictures)

Rear landing gear (I'm thinking in adding some cables/flexible connectors to the rear landing gear)

Front landing gear

Since the beginning I had the some problem...
the ship has a heavy ass (wings+engines= lots of weight)...
and it was always tilting backwards...
but now with the landing gear assembled...
it's in perfect balance.

Later I'll post some pictures of the current status of the conversion.

Keep in mind that everything still needs to be sanded and detailed and sanded again.
Your opinions are very welcome, thank you!

BALLSCRATCHER
very cool conversion im getting a Lamborghini theme starting with the big wing. No need for aerodynamics on this big brute force using bit of kit, definatly looks the part
