Hey guys! Me again!

Just finished my most recent piece and he\'s another half-nekkid barbarian type! I really feel like I went to town on him and I hope you like him!

Critique is, as usual, welcome and indeed encouraged!

Great work! Beautifully smooth, and it\'s interesting how the helmet helps add more color to the piece, so it doesn\'t end up too \"drab\". The shield really reminds me of some prints out of Asia, for some reason. Not that that\'s a bad thing, mind you. :) The stubbly look and tat are very effective too.

To bad you didn\'t save this piece for the Wyrd painting contest, it would have definately been a contender. Beautiful job, BTW.

excellent work Peter, I think it\'s your best work yet also, the skin tones are right on, and the face is outstanding. The base is REALLY nice as well, I like the look and feel you\'ve created. The tatoo is outstanding work as well.

My only question is the sword, which is without a doubt blended outstandingly, but it doesn\'t scream metal to me.

The loincloth doesn\'t seem quite as well done as the rest either (although I can only really see it in the back)

it\'s somewhere above a 9 for me, but 10 for pushing yourself to improve and those skintones :)

love it, the slightly dark skin tones are realy well chosen. I think anything lighter wouldn\'t have given the piece that same atmosphere.
I also like the addition of detail on the shield rather than all over the figure, it makes the simplicity (probably the wrong word, understated sounds worse,erm....uncluttered? yeah that works i think....) of the sculpt stand out more....does that make sense?

Excellent Peter a fine 10.
Top notch painting and the extras really push this one above others Ive seen.....ie mine:(

I disagree with Eric on the blade nmm.I think it looks spot on and definitely better than the sky earth one I did.
The stubble works better now in the full setup and I love the little details like the ivy and the stones falling over the edge.

Welcome back.
Where\'ve ya been anyway.......bedroomlol

Extremely cool, Peter! The skin is excellent and I also disagree with Eric on the sword. I think it looks quite life-like. Maybe you could have made even brighter highlights on the engraved pattern near the hilt, but otherwise it looks perfect, IMO.

It\'s nice to see you posting something. Your prescense here have become somewhat rare! ;)
