In my experience, an ink is \"thicker\" or covers more thickly than a wash. (A glaze is much more thinned down than even a wash and is meant to give only a hint of the glazed color allowing the majority of the underlying color to show through) I take inks made by GW and water them down a ton. The inks as they are out of the container dry kind of blotchy and uneven. Some of the older ones have a bad habit of drying in halos becuase as the edges of the ink puddle dry, it pulls the pigment from the ink to the sides. Way annoying. Right now, my washes are made with about 50% future floor wax, 30% water, and 20% ink. That\'s a pretty rough estimate as it gets changed up depending on how I want it to flow and cover. The future floor wax does dry very shiney, but after the matte sealer, it doesn\'t matter (unless that\'s the look you want!). Plus it dries hard and tough and protects the mini better. I\'ve had way fewer chips on models that have the floor wax mix on them. Plus, with the floor wax in the ink (or is it the ink in the floor wax?) the color stays down in the crack where you want it. I was amazed at how much easier it was to control. And so I don\'t take this totally off topic, I haven\'t tried Wonderwash. Their article on washing techinques is not bad though. Looks a whole lot like the Magic wash does. I think I might try some of it if I found it locally. You can get the whole set of their washes for under $20 US which isn\'t bad, but that $4-5 bottle of future floor wax is going to last forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever....a long time, and I use it in everything!
