Just had to share my joy!

After leaving the model train show (see \"gadgets...\" thread), I of course had to stop in at my local gamer/miniature store only to discover they\'ve recently decided to carry Confrontation AND the full line of Vallejo paints (game & model colors):flip::flip::D

Life is good!:D

I\'ve been trying to convince my local gaming store to carry Confrontation but to no avail. He says the models are too pricey. :(

What!
I showed some to my local GW store staff and they were impressed both by the quality and the price. (That says a lot!)
Some People Huh!

I\'m lucky to have both too. Well actually I don\'t get both vallejo range only the model range sold through Prince august. But I\'m not complaining. And last time I went in the store I thought I saw some warmachine lying in the back of the store :D. No all I have to do is convice them to sell dark age and then I\'ll be truly happy. :D

I\'ve been real lucky in Denver, our local shop Valhalla\'s Game Center carries just about every Confrontation fig, and many shops around here, a couple with my encouragement, carry extensive lines of Vallejo. The hobby seems to be well supported in the area!

Bah!

I have a GW store about 1 minutes walk from work - but it\'s always heaving with sprogs. I used to get some dubious looks when I walked in like...\"tanning salon is nextdoor dear...\" but I think they are kinda getting used to me now :)

The only other gamestore in Exeter is Krackers. Tony, the owner is pretty cool and they do Rackham stuff, but not very much. As for Vallejo paints - I use Beezelbrush\'s shop game-mart for mine. No local supplier as yet :(

So....Dauber you are extremely lucky :D

My local store is VERY well stocked.
Table Top Games in Lenexa Kansas is carrying:
* Valejo Game AND Model ranges as well as the brushes.
* Confrontation in both the French and American lines.
* War Machine ( Fast becoming one of my favorite lines
*Celtos
*Void
*All GW ranges and paints
*A ton of 10 MM ranges with varied names
*Reaper LOFR, Warlord, CAV, and Dark Haven lines as well as Pro Paints
*Iron Winds (ral Partha)
*HeroCLix
*D&D ( although they suck big time)
* Fairy Meat
*Etc.
Damn good store!
I am an Extremely lucky man! :D

Arr, i can only get GW minis and Heller-Revell Army planes and such things and there are really few art stores here with even fewer who sell acrylics.
So i use GW paints for now.

Just... don\'t take it for granted you lucky people :)

got all that, plus dark age and more. I also have a GW close by too. I only just found all this out today! I hadn\'t gone to this store in a long time, and when I did, i just went straight to GW paints and minis. Today however, I had a good long browse, and found all sorts of good stuff (including paint retarder!!!).

Back in my day...

bah!

back in my day, we didn\'t have much selection at the local comic book store, usually just leftovers and sale items, and WE LIKED IT.

We\'d have to order our miniatures from \"Paper\" Catalogs and call people on the phone to place the order, then you hoped it took 6-8 weeks to get to you, plus you had to walk all the way to the mailbox, in the snow, mind you!

now-a-days, with all yer readily accessible fancy-schmancy confrontation and vallejo stuff. BAH!

Mini\'s are supposed to be extremely hard to find, and even harder to buy. That\'s what builds character....???lol:flame:

p.s. PLEASE SOMEONE BUILD A QUALITY STORE NEAR ME!!

Double Bah!!!

Back in my day, we had to order from a poorly laid out poorly copied paper catalogue with an order form that you had to mail in - none of your fancy smancie phone calls there Supervike - and you got your minis in a brown paper wrapper cause you didnt want people to know that you had a bad habit, and you liked it!!!

Course, now of days, I got access to three fully stocked well lit ready to order whatever you want hobby shops without having to travel that far. Aint progress great? :D

Well, as everyone knows I live in a forsaken backwater town. Thus, I feel incredibly lucky to have found a model store that sells Testor\'s Dullcoat and Milliput.. I still get Vallejos and pretty much all my minis online... Speaking of which,MiniMadd is selling 2 GS ribbons (huge size) for $20, regularly $12...

Damn, yer a lucky git, I\'m desperately lacking in the whole hobby store department. The only, and I mean ONLY hobby store in town is a Rogue Trader, and a poor one at that. My town is just to small to support a shop that stocks anything but GW, as most of the \"enthusiasts\" are little punk, smelly, gamer-kids, and there isn\'t even very many of them........Grrrrrr.....*shakes fist*
