Wood base thingys

ok for a lot of models i ahve sen people have wooden bases, more often than not this is a picture frame, but i wanted to lnow where i could buy a wooden bloack that would fit a large monster base...for example some of Jason Richards stuff :

if you can tear your eyes away form the amazing model and see what i mean by the base...where do you get these from?, can someone give me alink or something please?

These bases have been available for years and were originally made for larger size figures. Andreas has some as do several other brands.

You didn\'t say what country you\'re in, so I can\'t really recommend a specific store. Here is the page of Michtoys in the US so you can get an impression of what is available:

Similar ones should be available at your local hobby shop or arts store, in the wood department. I do know that both Michaels and Hobby Lobby carry various shapes and sizes of unpainted and unstained bases.

I did a wood base with a cut edge with my dremel tool in about 20 minuets. It\'s not perfect but it does the job.
