You call this a conversion!!

You\'ve sculpted most of this yourself, so I think you\'re letting your work down by calling it a conversion. I think this dragon is excellent. It has so much character!

Welcome to the forums, as well! :)

Have to agree...

As Ritual has said this is not just a conversion but a very nice sculpt with a few bits added.

I like the dragon very much and I enjoy seeing a lot of your other work as well. I think your present score on this piece doesn\'t do it justice though.

I think maybe the low score on this could be attributed to the fact that most of your gallery is conversion stuff of one sort or another and people are starting to find it repetative especially when they see the Ebay link with it as well. This comes in with the Space Marine thread I guess and why people give them so low a score becuause they see so many of them.

We know you can paint as well as you convert/add green stuff to the mini\'s, after all I thought your Ogre Kingdoms Rhinox\'s were fantastic, including the one you painted.

Thats just my thought on it anyway.

Don\'t stop on this account though.

Welcome to the forums:D

I dont think there is anything wrong with it per sa. (dont relly speak french) This should be scoring at least an 8.5 in fact I just go vote for it now. Maybe the heads a bit big for the body but its still a beuatiful sculpt. I wouldnt call it a conversion either. Dont let thias get you down. Because of you I am making my own rhinox riders. just dont sue me for copy right. Remember plagerism is the highest form of flattery. Keep em coming.

thanks :)
I think that mayby i may paint this dragon for painting contest. It will be my first contest :) But mayby i will sculpt next one and i will improve some parts.
What do You think is it ok for GD contest?
GW allowed it to contest or not?
I am not shure if it will be ok? there are any rules how it shud be converted?
50%greenstuf 50% GWparts? Is there category for this figure? Monster or Open?

The body is roughly the same diameter as the neck. My brain says that the body should be heavier, except in Chineese dragons.

Considering that many GD winners have been completely self-sculpted I think this one should be ok. As long as you don\'t use any non-GW bits on it. It should also fit within the \"Warhammer style\" and I can see no problems with regards to that. To be sure, though, you should check the rules of the particular GD contest you are thinking of entering. Rules differ somewhat between different competitions, and it\'s better to be safe than sorry.

Ah, now, see there, Kev. Once again you brain has led you astray. I was in the laundromat the other day and this dragon came in and it looked JUST like that one. It wasn\'t a Chinese laundry, so I don\'t suppose it was a Chinese dragon. The dang thing did hog all the dryers, though. You know, you\'d think, what with fire-breathing and all, that dragons would be able to do their own drying at home, but NO!

BTW glad to see you joning in on the Forums, Sibor. I\'ve been a fan of our works for awhile. As has been said, don\'t wory too much about your score, especially not early on. There are just way too many reasons that scoring can get skewed.

Gads - thanks Daubber, my post sounds mean. Pre coffee this morning is my only excuse. That is some amazing Green Stuff Foo there. Any sculpt that does not look like a little snowman (my limit) is extreemely impressive to me anyway.

My only criticism is that the jaw looks too big. Its kind of puffy and looks swollen so the head is kind of goofy looking. Still a stunning piece which fully deserves the 10 I gave it, even with such a flaw.

And if you entered that I\'d have to say that you\'d at least get heavy consideration.

a 10 in my book. your work continues to amaze me. my only question is with the capes do you have a press mold that you use to get all the designs on it? or is it all sculpted on the cape?

Greetings Scibor,

The score is 8.9 right now. :flip: Better but not as good as it should be.

I don\'t usually vote on conversions but I would give a 9+. The dragon is excellent, a far better one than GW\'s. My only concern is with the way you sculpt your leaves on most of the woodelves. They seem rather large and meaty to be leaves. I am a admirer of your work and horribly jealous of your talent. But could you make the leaves more...ummm leafy-thin?:D

Hey,

IMHO i believe that should be getting in the high eights, but unfortunatly u dont see many conversions ( that aren\'t painted ) getting high scores anyway

awesome conversion, keep it up:D
