I can\'t be bothered to look right now (LOTR is on TV!) but there are loads of them.

Making your own wooden display base is damn near impossible unless you have the tools for it. It\'s probably quite easy if you have a lathe but you can buy them ready-made quite cheaply.

dragonforge does some nice and very affordable ones. nothing overly fancy though (no gnarled walnut for example)

what do you have in mind?

ask for tebsie on the basement forum

http://www.tbforum.co.uk/
he is uk based and damn good quality mate.

if tebsie is busy then jeff (dragonforge) would be my second call (not because tebsie is better, just that your uk based as they are both producers of awsome wooden plinths)

if you want a pvc plinth then give tyronmagda a pm, frederica usualy answers as massamiliano is usualy busy, they are based in italy.

you can\'t order online from them though which is a silly thing nowadays and makes the website a bit pointless.
they are cracking though as prawnpower has used them in the past and the quality is pretty damn good.

I always order on line with them... granted you can click on that site and pay but what they\'ve told me to do is e-mail them what you want they e-mail you the price including P&P... then just click on the pay-pal link on their site (in the How To Order Link).

Thats what i\'ve done for a few years and their S**t hot at gettin the bases out. Once i order a couple about 4pm & the bases where on my door step the next morning

i agree that picture frames are brilliant for dioramas and units. they are cheap and hollow so you can model the ground easily (if you use foam it keeps it light too)

try geological sites. bear in mind the size, i bought some thinking that the dimensions were inside but they were outside and nothing fits inside them!!
