After going to GD UK and seeing all the stunning minis on some nice wooden stands/bases i have been encouraged to find out where to find these. I have already got access to one place but i would like to find more for a bigger variety of sizes, shapes etc.
Anyone know where to get them online?(pref UK)
Cheers,
Tommy

Try a craft store, they often have plaques that can be used. Also, try trophy shops.

Or, if your dad or someone you know that\'s into woodworking has a router, you can easily make one. BTW, congrats on the demon ;)

I could do them custom size and shape if you are interested.I know Andreas miniatures do them but I think they are expensive.EDIT maybe not that expensive now I have looked again, but I could do custom sizes!

Hey Klute...

They\'d sell like hot cakes...why don\'t you just make up a load and put them in the trading post...Individually of course...

You want to join forces with Spacemunkie...

His bases must be selling well. I\'ve bought a load..:flip:

And you can always flog me some unique wooden plinths, you know I\'m a mug for that sort of thing:D

Making them by hand I probably couldnt compete with the likes of Andreas but making them to custom sizes and shapes seems a good selling point.
So if anyone wants one to order just drop me a PM and I will see what I can come up with price wise.
Steve,I will send one with Mr Carnage.

Heres the plan,
Im going to do a bit research for sizes and make a sample of each. From this I will have a fair idea of what I want to get for each type.Ill post the results here and the trading post.
Right Im off to chop some trees down.

Hi me again,
From left to right..Sizes given are the plastic base size. The wooden display top is slightly bigger.20mm thick.
25mmRound,25mmSquare,40mmRound,40mmSquare,30 mmRound.
The 30mm \"spyglass\" base just fits on the same size as the 25mm with not much edge so I will do a mid size round one for these bases as they are popular.Im also going to do a larger 75/100mm.Im off to search GW to get the plastic base size range.
Anything different can be custom ordered.Postage should be pretty good for the UK.They will be felt undersided too and glossier than these.I can also do them in plain pine so you can finish them how you like.
Finished
25mmRound and Square £1-50
40mmRound and Square £2-50
Unfinished pine £1,£2.
I think thats pretty reasonable.
I will drop a thread in the trading post.Let me know what you think and PM me if you want any.
Mark.
