In keeping with tradition - my last figure was posted in January 2004 - here is my latest completed figure

She\'s a lovely Amazon from Darksword, just so much detail on those 28mm figures :D Any comments gratefully received...together with any votes too ;)

Hopefully she won\'t be my last for 2005 ;)

Very nice job, I prefer your paintjob to the one they use to sell it. You definetly have to paint more this year I would love to see some more of your work. I also think the grass on the base is excellent you have to tell me how you did it :D. A few close ups would be good especially of the face. Keep up the good work.

Very nice work T!

For the good of the world, you can\'t keep this quality of painting supressed any longer... keep yer brushes wet some more :D:D

T, I know that new BF\'s can be a great distraction, but set Peter aside (clamp him to his own paint table with those mole grips) and paint more. lol

Glad to see you painting and posting.

very nice,

I really like the colors and the very subtle tones.

Maybe it is just this pic, but the eyes look a bit funny.???

Still, quite a start to 2005, lets hope we see much more of your stuff this year!

Beautiful work, T_S :DI agree with Brother Tom: I love the base. That\'s some of the most realistic dirt and grass I\'ve seen. And, no, I\'m not claiming to have not noticed the nice flesh work. ;) I think Peter should sell that Fleshtone mixexclusively through CMON. However, even with the perfect mix, it still has to be applied correctly and highlilghted/shaded properly. Beautiful work,Toosh. HOpe to seee lots more of it from you this year.

Gosh.....

..thank you all for your kind comments. I know I\'m not exactly a prolific painter and each time I finish a figure I amaze even myself! This is my 5th figure on CMON now, so once I get 50 votes I\'ll finally have a ranking :D

I do love painting, I just seem to get so distracted  but now that I\'ve got a fantastic b/f who also paints, I\'ll have no excuse not too lol

I\'ve got quite a few things in the WIP stage, so maybe a flurry of uploads will happen over the next couple of months :D

Re the grass - again, with a little advice from Peter, it came out well. I simply flocked the cast base and then washed the flock with a dark green - US Olive Drab I think - then I did a series of highlights by dry brushing.

For the dirt, I again enhanced the normal cast base with some textured gel (basically the same as PVA with sand added) and then based with Scorched Brown and again a series of highlights drybrushed on with Khaki.

Thank you again for your kind comments and generous votes :D :bouncy:

Cheers

T
