Word Bearer Chaos Lord

Necromancer
Converted from plastic bits and green stuff, inspired somewhat by the classic John Blanche stuff (only not as sloppy).

Really? I was thinking it was one of my best to date...

What seems of lesser quality? Not a challenge, just wondering why it\'s considered below my skill. <g>

Constructive criticism...
The painting s fantastic especially the faces on the cloak very nicely done....compared to some f your other work I can see this could easily rate among your best for painting....

The modelling itself just seems to let it down...

The claw (necron wraith?) just esn\'t fit to scrawny too long and too clean for Chaos..The head does\'t really suit and overall it doesn\'t really scream Word bearers...

Again though technical side from a painting perspective awesome just doesn\'t feel word bearers.....

I\'m loving it. I don\'t mind the arm but the head looks a little disjointed from the body. I can certainly see the Blanche influence in the tones of red.

Ah hah... yeah, that makes sense now that you mention it. Thanks very much for the feedback. :)

I know that one thing missing from the Word Bearer feel is the unholy crozius... apparently just about any WB Lord is going to have one of those (4+ invulnerable save, I think) and I didn\'t find this out until after I was mostly done painting.

For my next conversion, I\'ll try to improve the modeling. I have to admit, I really love the GW plastics for the conversion possibilities.

PS - Oh, and yep... that\'s a necron claw. :)
