You\'re not crazy. Although I haven\'t seen a comic from Dark Horse (Lobo right? I\'m not sure) in about 10 years or so, perhaps some of that style seeped into my veins without me knowing it. lol. Thanks.
I used to collect comics as a kid, I\'m 32 now. I haven\'t read one in ages, but I do remember seeing a friend\'s collection many years ago and he had some Lobo comics. Maybe I will google some images and see if it really does resemble...

That mini is stunning!!

I\'d thought I\'d show one of the minis I\'m currently working on. It will most likely sit on my desk for a while now, while I\'m working on the CMON contest mini, but I\'ll try to finish him after that.

Some parts are obviously lot of work left on! If you have suggestions of improvements, please, spill your guts!:D

Thanks much you all for your comments :]

Ritual, It looks great so far! I like the primer work, start with black, then dust it with white right? That\'s a cool technique. This mini is really looking good.

Here is my almost finished Female Mantis Assassin for the CMON #4 contest. I\'m going to put her in a diorama so I still have to finish that. Any suggestions to make her better?

Nice job James. Maybe a motif on the rim of the cape would add more details. On the other hand, it might be too flashy for an assassin ... your choice ;)

Talking of inspiration the stuff Pete from Sacred Blade sent me is full of it.

Well, i\'ve also had this Chaos WIP going on for a looooooooooong time... the double head was super hard, but i\'ve got something i like and am sticking to. Only problem is the spikes... i\'m stuck on how to do them. Is there a better way that GS? Here\'s a drawing to help you out.

Hay all..

I\'m painting 8 of these bad boy\'s for a diorama for my mother for christmas. It\'s very cool and my first diorama. I ordered scaled egytian colums and sarcoficases.

I do realize I can\'t spell what-so-ever..

Ill post a pic of the final before I send it to Indnana..

Michael

I can\'t figure out what to put on the parchment.

Any Ideas?

@ itchy, try using cocktail sticks and wittle then down with a knife, or use a large needle and cut it down, both would work and look good IMO

@ Sheeba, seeing the egyptian theme what about hyrogliphs? or a mix of hyroglyphs and squiggley lines to represent writing

@DarkStar
Yes, that\'s the primer technique I used. Black primer, then grey from above and sides and then white from above only.

@ritual
What grey primer do you use? I\'ve tried GW\'s but it is terrible.

I use tamiya. It\'s ok. It\'s quite easy to apply to much of it, but as long as you\'re careful with it it\'s not much of a problem. For black and white primer, I use GW, though.

The skirt is sort of deliberatley streaky...like its been washed and bleached by the sun (And if you believe that!! :p )

Edit - And yes, I\'ve noticed that the colours aren\'t very similar to the card, but I don\'t play, so nerr!!
