Reaper Master Paints

I would agree with Malleus. As an experiment, I used the Olive Green straight from the bottle on Mr. Dumond\'s hat. I didnt think it was too clumpy and didn\'t leave brushmarks as far as I can tell. That said, I still added a drop of water to dilute the paint 1:1 for my basecoating on other parts of the mini (the back tabard) for comparison. The bottles do have an agitator in them which is nice--all my vallejo\'s have aquarium rocks in them :). The clogging problem with vallejo has been remedied with a slightly larger apeture size on the bottle. I have not had a problem with clogging yet with the Reapers (although I have only used them for a couple of weeks). The one thing I would caution you is that a bigger hole means you need to be careful dispensing the paint, as it comes out less force on the bottle. Don\'t squeeze to hard :). I think they are worth a try.

Have to agree about the Reaper Master Series paints. Airhead gave me a few colors to try when I visiting him last month.

They are very smooth, haven\'t had to thin them yet. The coverage is excellent and they adhere very well. You all should give them a try. haven\'t had a chance to try the metallics yet, will let you know... :)

Well I have been a bit slack of late not realy finding painting much fun at the moment. Still here is an update on my miniswap Ilyad Orc.
The pics are not too good as the lighting doesn\'t seem to be going right tonight for some reason but I think you can all see the progress that I have made.

I am quite pleased with the blade though the light reflecting back off it is making it hard to see the work gone into it. I think I will take another pic tomorrow in natural light and see if that is an improvement.

Thunder Cats
I changed the cats mane and tail add a more Rackham look. I have started to do them before the hunter himself, cart before the horse? yea maybe.

@Tidoco--wow, the blade is exquisite...
@Shaz--nice start. Can\'t wait to see the dreaded frog familiar painted.
@TAB--This should be a nice change of pace from The King. He was very impressive--I can\'t recall seeing so many details on a mini in a long time (if ever!)

Damn Tim that is awesome. I agree with TAB, you just keep getting better and better. And I love to see you using metallics on the weapons. I was beginning to think that they were completely out of fashion...

I was just telling someone this morning that you were becoming one of my favorite painters. Keep up the good work, can\'t wait ot see him finished.

Cheers,
Grumb

My base for my Elrond I\'m redoing. Not sure about it, it supposed to be a bubble and 2 splashed bubbles for a lava stream. What do you think: continue with the idea or just do grass/sand/foilage?

Lots of nice stuff being worked on here, tis good to see. Heres a mini from Hasslefree I\'ve started mainly to practice painting human skintones. I think its looking quite good so far.

Tidoco: Looking very nice, love the details of the face and especially inside the mouth. Maybe some more shading on the green? Like under the arm and in some of the darker recesses.

Shaz: the fleshtones look excellent! very characterful mini BTW. There\'s a difficulty here though, what colour should you choose for the frog, so that it doesn\'t overpower the head?

Tab: I don\'t really fancy the sculpts, the details look a bit off in proportion. But amazingly the work you\'ve done so far makes me want to paint them.. :) The convertions really add to the models! Good job!

Demon hunter: There\'s no reason to play safe.. It\'s looking good so far and if you\'re not satisfied with the end result, you can always do another base.

stef686 I am not the greatest and I know this is a wip but in the models perspective right leg is a bit too light and the rest is so rocking I thought it is a good thing to say now not later ... I will be quiet and go back to my paint brush.
