Brokenblade, would you share your nmm gold recipy with us? it looks absolutely spectacular.

here is my first go at nmm steel with acryllics : I\'m pretty happy with the result so far. It\'s supposed to be a little hommage to Jenova\'s works, since she has inspired me alot over the past few years. The rest of the model and the clothes will be done to match her typical celtos colour scheme with the girly colours and flashy hair.

@Brokenblade............. I\'ve always loved the level of your work but that figure is just fantastic. But I can see a mold line* there.

@enterfaith......The faces on those two figures are great. I really like them. Very dark and brooding.

*There is no mold line;)

Silverwheel - The banner is looking great, i love the colours. You have quite a unique but very pleasing style :)

Enterfaith - Wow, what depth.... the pics are a shame, but i can tell the models are amazing, (love the pilgrims shield)

Mordred - Your kidding that this is your first try at nmm steel right? it\'s perfect first time :bouncy: I used a mix of scorched brown, bubonic brown and skull white and highlighted up almost to bubonic brown, then almost to skull white, if that helps.

Adrian -Thanks a lot, you had me worrying for a while then lol

@Mordred.......HOLY MOLEY! I thought that sword was done in metallics! That is some very cool nmm you got going there.... Wow! I would also like to know Brokenblade\'s nmm gold recipe.

As for the pics of my minis.. I don\'t have a camera at the moment so I\'m forced to use a very old scanner...:flame:

Here is the latest shot of my Frost Giant\'s Daughter for my diorama. The cloth is washed out in the pic, I think it is because it is reflecting light too much (I used Reaper Pearl White and it is an iridescent paint). She won\'t be based until she is attached to the diorama. Now on to the Frost Giant and Conan...

Nice

Looks really good Kevin...can\'t wait to see the rest of the diarama! Check her bottom lip though, looks like \"smeared\" lipstick underneath.

Cheers,
Grumb

Thanks! I hope to get alot of work done in the next couple of days, so hopefully I will have more to post by Wednesday. I looked at her lower lip in the picture and you are right, but it isnt there in person. Must be a shadow or something? The curse of the thick-lipped sculpt lol

Mr. barbarian

Well, rather have the shadow then have to repaint those lips... I\'ll keep my open for you WIPS. I think this is going to be very neat when you get it done!

@Silverwheel Looking good. So your going with the Rackham paint scheme?

Well, as long as I like the colours I will stick to the colour sheme. But I didn\'t like the way they did the skin/fur and the venes in brown - so blues it is now ;)

@brokenblade: thanks a lot - my style is a result of not being a pro like most of you are. It\'s my first big figure - and I still have loads to learn.

@Mordred: this looks really perfect - your first NMM? Hard to believe that - you must be a genius then :)

@ Mordred: that is a very nice dark steel look you have achieved on that sword - looking forward to seeing the rest of the figure finished!

brokenblade : thx for the recipy ! I\'m gonna try it out immediately.

I\'ll take some new pics once I get the helmet and hair finished later today.
This is my first time painting nmm steel with acryllics, I used to do it with oil colours. So I have a good understanding of reflections and shading, but the blending takes alot of time with acryllics :s

That\'s a mean looking guy! I love the saw and the boots, and... well I love most of him. I think the leather straps on his arms could use some further highlighting. About the motif on the jacket: how about some cheesy 80\'s-metal style motif?

He needs a suitable jacket-back design. Any suggestions??

Very nice Scott...looks like he came straight out of Hell\'s Kitchen .... that might be funny on the back of his jacket.... feel free to use it, royalty free... :)
