Hiya guys, this is my latest project. After about 45 minutes this is what I\'ve come up with.. (Sorry for the crap picture)

I\'d build up highlights gradually so that I can stop when it looks good. If you do too much at one go you could end up having to repaint certain areas.
If you want to display it online you could also try taking photos of it while working on the highlights so that you can see how it looks in a photo.

It only looks base coated. I\'d highlight it more and shade it more. Give it more depth.
The shields are from the skeleton warrior regiment sprue.
However, I am VERY sad to say, that I will not be bringing the engine of the gods with me to the UK with me
I will be going to GAmes Day still, and can\'t wait to meet everyone on sat/sun, but...the engine just isn\'t up to par with what I could do right now; what I could do if i practiced more on it to get stuff better, and the fact that I\'m just so mentally burned out (and even physically, since I\'ve hardly kept up my workout schedule in the past 3 weeks! been on the phone too much with someone!)

I will submit it for a smaller contest somewhere here (maybe a Conflict tournament?) I will put up photos for CMON in my gallery, and get a friend to host a video of the plasma ball in action so people can see and critique the results. i\'m also not really happy with most of it right now and all the sculpting errors and painting choices, some of it not too pleased with now.No big deal, but thanks everyone for advice, tips, and support etc...it won\'t go to waste. I will finish it...
My attempt at a Golden Demon contest will have to wait until Toronto 2006 in may i guess.

Sanjay in that case why don\'t you use teh beast as your entry to the Torronto 06 GD fif you feel you are unable to finish it to the standard you want for the UK GD the extra time should therefore mean you can do aa lot more to it that you want to do and the effort so far in getting it to GD will not have been wasted

I have other plans already for Toronto 2006 that I wanted to start before but when I learned TOronto was cancelled for 2005, I decided I will save for this year (1 of which already began conversion work). Then i got another couple nice models that I want to use for entries and nice ideas if I can manage it.
I need to practice blending a lot though as well as sculpting but oh well...
My \'open\' category slot is alreayd taken up by something I want to do for toronto, and i really am so burnt right now that not sure if I want to use the engine...too many mistakes on it and many I cna\'t fix since htey are part of sculpture itself...

I bought today my new piece for the GD diorama ^^ It is Brother Captain Stern but i\'ll use it as a gran master for my rising army of Lent Grey Knight.... In the army only him and his brother in the dreddy have the purple-green armour... others have only green ^^
What do u think about it? i like the sword ^^
ps the light effect on the sword is NOT natural light but only paint
on his back has a sacred bonecase... the rosarium is made from a khemri\'s shield
the upper rosarium now is not yet glued because i must work on it again (i like the idea but not how it came out)

heres a current Wip.... I just relized I CANT PAINT, or take pictures.... blah O well here ya go... Any suggestion on the sword???
@bayrodney: A sandgropper eh? Well welcome mate how\'d the eagles go in the footy.
@leopardpixie. If you cant paint then what does it say for hacks like me. Not sure what you were going for with the sword but it doesnt suit the mini. I think you should go hard with a bright shiny sword like in the conan movies or go for a grungy blood incrusted sword. btw like the tat must hurt to get one there tho thank god its only painted on.
