@mattsterbenz - that\'s pretty nice. You got the \"bright primaries\" look right, that\'s for sure... without him looking too gaudy. And yes the flesh tones are well done too.

OK, I haven\'t been painting much lately, but I\'m currently working on a birthday present for a friend:

mermaid-WIP1.jpg

I\'m going for the \"creepy mermaid\" look, more of a siren I guess, as the recipient has a taste for the macabre. The mini will be on a 40mm Warmachine base with water surrounding it, like a rock protruding from the sea. Comments/suggestions?

By the way this mini was a kind gift from Valloa!

Nice work NSA the skintone is looking very creepy.
The Orc is now very close to completion, all three banners are attatched and finished, no freehand I\'m affraid on them as I couldn\'t think of anything to do on them. The colours are supposed to be tribal colours of the Orc\'s clan.

Now all I ahve to do is come up with a suitable base.

Orc warlord progress

So, I started the actual miniature.
Here is WIP pic.

The arm and the head are pinned, but, for now, are only attached with yellow tac... As soon as I can find the time, I\'ll sculpt the neck, the flail and the shield (which, most probably will be made of several shields from other races)...
enjoy

tidoco, as usual your orc is amazing. I personally like the novelty of orcs which are not clad in stinking rags or jury-rigged power-armour. These ones are a whole new ball game for orc-kind :)

sonny, the wolfen looks great. it could just be the picture, but there doesn\'t appear to be much shading on that gold?

i finished the mordian iron guard weapon team last night, pics up soon.

Boy, those things really are a smorgasbord of dinosaurian species, aren\'t they? I count at least three families... I like your choice of colours at any rate, vibrant yet suitably reptilian.

Holy friggin\' cow, Tim. This is why I love seeing your work. Amazing. You are truly one of the best working with metallics. Is this guy going on the auction block?

EDIT: Oops, going to WoH I see.

I\'m working on the NMM :) As soon as the left side of the scale armour is done I\'ll post some new pics, for now I only have those pics above :)

Geez, tidico!!! Can I just throw all my stuff away now? Is this still going to WOH? If not, I\'d say save it for the next GD.

This is why people love metallics that are done right. (wish I could paint them like that). A 10 in my book even before the base.

Thanks for the comments, yes this is destined for the WOH project and as soon as it is based I\'ll be sending it on ots way. Sadly it would not qualify for GD as it is not a Games Workshop model but don\'t worry I have plans for next year :D
