Tony that is simply beautiful, I realy want one of these but nowhere seems to have one in the UK
I\'ve done a little more on the green guy today. Basically the head is on as you can see and just about finished. Also I have painted the bullets on his necklace and his shoulder pad. I was not sure what to do with the shoulder piece so I went for the rusted metal look which is quite orky I think. I will be dirtying the robe at the end when all other parts are done, I have an idea to cover the ork in spattered blood but no firm decisions as yet.

I\'m getting quite a bit of reflection off the white tonight with the light source it isn\'t realy as bright as that.

Slaanesh Dreadnought - take 3 (?)

The base purple is in place for the bulk of the miniature. In this WIP shot I\'ve finished the majority of detailing on the legs , started on the lascannon weathering, and added a couple of minor (and possibly temporary) details to the icons.

Zoom is the effect I\'m always happy with for oil on hydraulics.

As always, feedback greatly appreciated...especially as this is the most weathering I\'ve done on a single model before.

@tidoco2222 - I\'m liking the Ork a lot - what greens did you use for the flesh?

@Tony - it\'s looking very, very good. The question I have is regarding the base and the pool of very muddy water. How did you pull that off?

@peteh the answer to your question is Catachan Green, mixed up to pure Cammo Green. It takes a while to get the right look but the result is worth it in the end.

i gave a layer of water effect because it has more grip with glue than the metal ring i used to \"raise\" the mini to avoid it was too much inside the hole... sorry for my bad english but i can\'t find a way to express it better :|~

@tidoco2222 - cheers for that. I\'m just about to embark on 2 Goblin Wolf Ladz and I\'m thinking that a paler green like yours will look a lot nicer than the old Goblin/Billious green combination I\'ve used in the past.

@Tony - also cheers. I figured it was water effects of some kind (or lots of PVA). Did you colour it before pouring? I\'ve played with it straight from the bottle, but have never mixed it with paint/ink before.

i feel squeemish disagreeing with a master painter like yourself..... but i do.
nmm can be done in ANY color palate (as you are demonstrating), so it is a matter of taste. do you want a bluish steel type effect? something surreal? if you want plain ol tried and true silver, it should be more grey, but the colors arent they key to nmm - its contrast (or so i gather).

edit: quick question: i notice many of you are finishing a \"section\" at a time - fully compleating it. is this common? i tend to paint everything gradually.l
