Yeah, it was a big scare in the media a couple of years back about acrylamide. Further research have been made since then, and apparently it\'s not very dangerous as was initially claimed. (The sort that forms in food, that is. I wouldn\'t eat pure acrylamide though... )

I\'ve done some research on the Swedish inventions I mentioned. The original idea for the zip was American but a Swedish inventor invented the zip with the metal hooks attached to strips of cloth that could be sewn onto a garment, the one that\'s used today.

A Swedish inventor named Håkan Lans is often credited for inventing the mouse, but he actually invented a similar pointer tool used in CAD environments, so I was a bit off there! :innocent:

*edit* I do hold on to my statement that the Wasa bread is delicious! In fact, I\'m gonna have some right now...

The previous version had metal hooks and was sewn to garments, the Swede improved the locking action by increasing the number of teeth per inch.

The crescent wrench (or Crescent® to be more precise) is usually attributed to Karl Peterson but appears to have actually been the work of Gunnard Oberg. Now, what about those bearings?
