(posh english accent of that bum-hole) Actually 150 is quite high you know. As you are an absolute idiot you would not understand that IQ is taken for different age groups, and the average is 100. So as I have 50 more, and 50 is half of 100 so I am half as clever as any other person!

Actually, I recently travelled through part of the Mid-West and didn\'t see anything remotely \"redneck.\" I saw a lot of farms, but those aren\'t really \"redneck\" we should be thankful those farms exist, otherwise the world has a much smaller food supply. The first thing I saw that was \"redneck\" was when I entered into my home state.

Well, I\'ve managed to get as far as the bit where the wife pounces round the living room like a two-year old, which was mildly amusing in a wtf way. I think I\'ve managed to figure out the \"Directional Coach\" thing - people meet her and realise that the best direction they can take is \"AWAY!!!\"

Redneck was originally a compliment. It signified a man who worked the land, generally meaning a hardworking person. The \"red\" neck was from sunburn.
Apparently, someone, most likely the academia, decided that working the land indicated a low intelligence, hence redneck became a term of derision.
I find it amusing that Fowler and his similarly deluded wife, claim to be for the planet, yet live like Al Gore instead of like those dirty rednecks. I absolutely despise urban environmentalists whose idea of nature is limited to the carefully cultivated city park.

actually evil dave you are wrong...it was a term denoted to a group of people in appalachia who stood up to the coal companies when they tried to unionize certain counties in the 1920s. the men wore red bandanas or strips of red fabric around there neck to denote their own group.
the term caught on in virginia, west virginia and the like and at first meant a man who stood up for what was right. over time people began to use the term for a person of the country and then eventually it was adopted by the general public and media and turned into a stereotypical view used by the public as a whole to represent illiterate or uneducated people. enter jeff foxworthy and the rest is history.
sorry.... i saw a good program on history channel hosted by billy ray cyrus on the matter. it was fantastic actually.
