Worst day ever...

I am not sure how many of you have heard of the TV show called Ninja Warrior on G4tv but they had a casting call for the show and I was robbed! It is a tv game show where contestants compete to complete a crazy obsticle course that takes place in japan and G4tv was looking for people to sponsor and send to japan to compete. They had an open casting call so I went and they built their own small mock up of the course. There were about 5 obstacles to complete and the 30 top people to complete it would move to the final judging where they would be picked to go.

It was my turn on the course and most people did not make it passed the first obstacle, tough course. It was an obstacle with alternating steeply inclined steps and one must jump from one to the next without falling into a pool of water. Even a single touch would disqualify the contestant. There were 5 steps and I made to it the last step before I lost my balanced and took a couple small steps before I jumped onto the platform for the next obstacle, however I feared my foot touched the water. Like an IDIOT I yelled out at the crowd watching, \"Did my foot touch the water??!?!\" They yelled back, \"No, keep going!\" At that point the evil witch of a woman holding the \"Blowhorn of Wrongfully Disqualified Contestants\" blew her horn and I was DQ\'d :~no:

If I had just kept my mouth shut I could have kept completing the course but I sealed my own fate and now my chances of being sent to japan to compete are pretty much ruined...

I\'m a big fan of the show. You must be incredibly fit to even attempt the thing. There\'s always next time (they run it every month?)

I have worked out at the gym almost every day for the past 3 years. I am in pretty good shape. I am not a chiseled beast though, I like food more than muscle definition lol. I guess my problem is that I am too honest and like to know that I am doing things incorrectly. I should have just kept my mouth shut...

They run the show every six months. Once in summer and once in winter. G4 has been sending people to compete for the past two years and I am sure they will send more. My problem is that normally they request video submissions to pick people to send and I am not some crazy acrobatic parkour junky. An open casting call is ideally what would work for me. Hopefully they will have another casting call in the future.

You are all right. If this is my worst day then it really is not that bad. It is torture still because I know I should have done better.
