Would this work, or is it just another dumb idea?

Since I finally got my Grey Knight army all painted, I\'m trying to go back and paint lots of my first love, Reaper Mini\'s :D. And its about time to stop being a Lurker on CMoN.

The first thing I came to was this cool looking Crypt Bat, so of course I got to buy him :) At first I was just going to mount him on a 50mm Monster Base and have a skelton hand comeing out of the ground, but the more I look at him, and the fact that I stumbled across hisBrother my imagation went to work.

I want to make a 5inch x 5 inch base out of hardboard or something of the like, and have them both on it. Make a Fence around it out of either theChaos Vehicle Spure and just the bars with Space Marine helmets on them, will get chopped off :D. Or I can make one out of something else if anyone knows of something I can use. Also I need to know if anyone knows a place or something where I can pick up an extra Headstone or two to fill in the blank spots, and should I add a skeleton or two comeing out of the ground, or would it be better to scatter skeleton parts about the yard to make it seem more like an eating place? Also do you think this will be too much going on in it?

Thanks for any help, and thanks if you actully read all my babble :bouncy:

*Edit* Something I just noticed about the first Crypt Bat is the way his hand is, I\'m sure I could fit a small head in there some how. I know GW has some dead Empire people, but I can\'t seem to find them anywhere right now. So that is another idea I may use, have him holding the head with the body under him.

It sounds very nice.
You can get headstones from GW Zombie Sprue and the Skeleton sprue.
And maybe Mordheim has some undead Empire, not sure though. But it sure is fun converting Empire into dead people. Ah well, living dead people :)

all you can eat buffet

GW also has about 7 or 8 different metal headstones, I couldn\'t find them listed on the website, but I have the catalog at home, I\'ll see if I can round you up some part numbers...

I like the feasting ground idea as well. Maybe a few of the \"dead\" might be more intact than skeletons, waiting for thier chance to be chewed on....

I really like the idea too. There is a line of miniatures by Grim reaper casting called nasteez that has a large tombstone called the idol of death. That might be a good thing to include. I used one for my wolfen grave guardian:

Yup I love my big $50 book. Tobad a page fell out the other day, atleast it had the catachans on it so no big loss :)

Hmm not sure if that tombstone would look right. Looks like it would be kinda big compared to the rest. I will defiently buy it though, if I don\'t use it this time I will use it in the future I know. Very cool wolfen and I love the snow.

Thanks for all the advice, and it seems the feasting ground idea it is :D Now to get the Crypt Bats, tobad my store didn\'t have them. Had to order them, but they did have some other cool reaper stuff I got :bouncy:
