Another lemming joins the leap
I picked up WoW today. I have a friend one of the servers, but I assume one can make an alt on any other server. I\'ll whip up something for Bronzebeard. Which server are you on, Borg? Or better yet, maybe those with some working knowledge of the game could select a \"CMoN\" server...

I think everyone should just join the Archimonde server 
I\'m almost done my third level 60 so I\'m not moving lol
As for Guild Wars, they may not charge a monthly fee, but they DO charge fees. They charge you for all the expansions/new areas they do. So you wont HAVE to pay for them, but then you wont be able to play the game anymore really because you wont have access to the areas that everyone else is in. Or at least, I think that\'s how it works, I dont play GW...

If anyone wants some assistance, information, etc, send me a tell in game. Thrasymachus lv60 dwarf priest, Fayan lv60 human rogue, Quieti lv44 gnome mage, Juniper lv23 dwarf hunter.
*edit* Oh and about the anal rules for naming and such, the same rules apply across all servers so they\'re really not that bad. RP-Role Play servers wouldnt want titles or famous peoples names, PvP-Player versus Player servers wouldnt want titles/ranks, minors/minorities and such play all the servers (obviously) so no profanity or racial slurs etc is just good sense and probably a legal issue they have to enforce to allow minors to play. Even though they threaten harsh penalties, they only make you change your name if it doesnt comply and there\'s very few things they actually do ban your account for the first time you\'re caught. In fact I cant think of one, the worst I\'ve heard of has been things like 3-7 day suspensions.

Nope I refuse to buy this game. I have a character on a friends comp. But I have only played a couple of times. I just have better things to do than play comp games that charge you a monthly fee to play. Damn stupid if you ask me.

Guild Wars is a fantastic game! And cheap! £17.99 off Play.com I think and after that its all free!!! No monthly fee. And it works on a modem (I know every game says \"works on a modem\" - but this time its really true and its playable like no other online game on a modem).
It\'s not as big as Wow - it doesn\'t even come close - but be honest unless you live on Wow 24/7 you will never even come close to visiting everywhere. Plus Guild Wars has very impressive graphics, more so than Wow imo.

WoW... Well, I played it a bit. It became boring after half an hour. Imagine! 30 minutes!
However PC games aren\'t my cup of tea any more anyway. New PC\'s too expensive and the old one\'s too slow for everything. Well I like CS2D, funny and (most importantly) free online game which needs nearly no hardware resources.
But I got to say I was a real Warcraft III freak when the game was released. I had been trying to play it online for many months properly, in the end I had to accept my PC was just too slow... Was a kinda funny time anyway.

Really easy
I tried to get a holiday game addiction. A planned one, you see. But it\'s just not working. I installed Gothic II which has just the absolute worstest control ever (what the hell do you need an ACTION key for?!?), then I tried good old GTA2 which gets boring after half an hour, next I installed Dawn of War and realized it\'s just another \"build-camp-kill-enemy\" game. I don\'t know, I need something different. I guess I still haven\'t gotten over the fact that there won\'t be a third Baldur\'s Gate. Life\'s not fair.
