Well the thing is, Leroy may have been a moron, but the rest of the group were just as stupid. If they had more than half a brain among them they would have just let him die. Rez him. School him. Then continue on. But no they all grabbed their pitch forks and ran right in there after him. Boggle. ???

hehe..... was watching the same show about 2 days ago... they put this exact clip on it... was laughin my arse off!

Ok. The summary for the MMORPG impaired...

This is a raid on a fairly powerful area, with the intent of acquiring either some hefty magic item, or some items required for a quest to get some hefty magic item.
I don\'t know WOW, myself, but I played EQ for a while, so I couldn\'t specify beyond that.

However... this was clearly the final strategy session, determining who would be doing what, when, and how, to give them the best shot at success.

With that \'quick number crunch\' of 25% chance of survival, I wouldn\'t have tried such a raid, myself... so clearly, these guys didn\'t have the best plan, anyway...

But the fact that they didn\'t try to run away when LEEEEERRRRROOOOOYYYYY JEEEEEEEENKIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNS charged into it before the group leader said \'go\' did two things. First, it destroyed their careful planning, and second, it implied that this raid was happening deep in a \'zone\', which meant that trying to run would have gotten them just as dead, but spread out all over the place, and thus, harder to recover the bodies and gear.

Sums it up pretty well. And, since the WoW mobs attack you when within a certain range, by attacking Leeroy, they get in aggro range for you. And they\'re faster than you. You\'re bonked. The end.
Common knowledge, as they call it, is that the whole thing is a fake video... Whatever, it\'s funny. There\'s even a \"Save Leeroy Jenkins\" T-Shirt available... :rolleyes:

Wow, i like the Leroy shirt and all, don\'t get me wrong... but i REALLY like the AC/HP and Rules Lawyer shirts!lol As a DM of a local group... i HAVE to own the Rules Lawyer shirt. *salivates*
