i think the photography is letting him down tbh, i would tell you how to take a better photo but mine suck anyway!

This is a really cool, bizarre model! What line is it from?
I agree with the Freak, that the photography is letting you down a little. You should look into getting or making a photo box/tent, which will cut down on the glare that you are getting on the mini. Also, the background is a little distracting; I think it\'s better to use a sheet of paper that is one solid color, or maybe one that is a gradation.
For the lightbox, try some googling to see if you can find anything that will work for you (I bought a \"professional\" one on Ebay for around $20, but they are easy to make). If you can\'t find anything let me know and will find some links for you.
For the painting, I think you did a good job. The base is really cool, but I think you should prime and paint the stones that you used there. The natural stones don\'t generally work if they are unpainted. I\'m not sure why, but it might have something to do with them being out of scale, or because they look too natural, while the mini is fantasy-oriented.
It looks sufficiently freaky, though.

AMclimbin it\'s one of the rackham mid nor war staff I believe..some real bizarre minis in that range...
I\'d say the photography is the biggest killer here.. I like the little fella.. don\'t be disheartened by the lack of votes doesn\'t necessarily mean no-body liked it just that there was o much to vote on ..
I like the base and the overall job.. A couple of different angle shots wouldn\'t have harmed it either.Front and back is enough really...

As I said over at Wyrd, I thought it was well painted, but that photos from more angles might have helped.
And as others have pointed out, a light tent of some kind (or even a way to reduce the harshness of the light) would probably help, as well as a neutral background of some kind. You can search for \"grey (or gray) card\" images and find some to print out.

It looks like the camera focused really well on the head but that means the body is a little out of focus. Two shot minimum on this guy.
