Wyrd Painting Contest: Femme Fatale!

As I started in earnest for a Reaper mini exchange I realized in horror my dilemma.

Darm you Femme Fatale! The only minis I have to paint at the moment are guys! :eek:

So get this contest over! I have a bunch of gals that are dying to go on CMON. ;)

I\'m so happy!!! I actually managed to submit 4 entries. And I only ended up finishing one of them at the very last minute, which is phenomenal for a procrastinator like me.

Of course, now I\'ll look at all the last-minute things done by people like Anders and feel like I should just give up. ;)

Can\'t wait to see all the entries!!

Sniffles, I didn\'t do any last minute piece! My only entry was done several weeks ago, when I had plenty of time to spend on it! :D

Congratulations for managing four entries, though. I would have wanted to enter more, but there was no time for me...

I\'m also dying to see the entries... 143 of them!

Against my better judgement i actually did paint one figure for this contest. Not looking forward to seeing my fugo there but looking forward to seeing real painter\'s stuff.

Onis Lair. yeah, I know how you feel. I think my entry is going to look real shabby next to everyone elses. But how else am I supposed to improve unless I push myself.

Wow!! What a great group of entries. Great in both quantity & quality. Nice work all. Glad you get 3 votes per category or I\'d\'ve been really, really stuck in a couple of categories to come up with only one. Especially Fantasy - 73!! entries :wow: Had to go through it and shifts. Cut it down to my top 25, then my top 10, then 5, then finally got it down to 3, but still felt I was slighting at least a few.
Again, nice work everybody.

Lots of great entries and more than a few familiar names here on the CMON boards!

How long will they be up? I just finished going through category and I will do another tomorrow. I want to comment on all of them. Everyone\'s work looks really good.

The voting ends one week after the polls were uploaded, so that will be Tuesday morning next week (European time).

Mine\'s down there too. Never expected to get anywhere with only 3 hours of work, but I must say the comments have made my day.

I agree with you Vince! I painted mine the day of the deadline, but the comments I\'ve got have really been fun!

I have a couple of guesses as to which one is yours. If I knew the genre it would help, but I guess that\'s not in the spirit of anonymity. Still, I\'ll make my guess and next week I\'ll find out if I was right.

I find if you post on CMON you will get some snotty brat comments, some brainless praise, and a lot of criticism - we post here to learn so that\'s probably as it should be.

On Wyrd-games though, the contest is for fun and you get a lot more praise and back patting. That encourages more people to enter the contest too. It\'s all a feel-good experience.
