Nathan, I\'d love to join in.
But, I\'ve just got too much on at the moment.

However if this is going to be ¼ly count me in for the next one. If its going to be girly I\'ve a few that might \"fit the bill\".

@Wiccanpony.......There are times when you scare me Donna. ;) lol

Why am I laying on your paint table? ???

lol:bouncy::flip:

Changed my mind about the mini I\'m gonna do, I made the mistake of posting the manufacturer\'s name, and that\'s almost as bad as saying which mini. Besides, I have one I started awhile back that really deserves to be finished... it was actually coming out kinda...... good (gasp!)

@Equus - Finn PAINT!? A MINI!? AND SHOW US ALL THE RESULTS!? That\'ll happen when Sturmy wants to join this.

@Wiccanpony - \"Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble\" - YOU, wipping up some \'men\'. :D

I\'m really proud of you Nathan for getting this together so professionally, I know how much effort you\'ve been putting into it and it\'s turned out looking great. If you do manage to keep it up quarterly I imagine it will grow into something outstanding.

For this time however I have a little plan :D, hopefully my new place will get a painting area set up in time to get it done, but I\'ll get something done regardless I\'m sure ;)

fun!!

I was looking for a particular one in the ghoulish/undead kind of stuff really, but I was toying with *gasp* TWO ideas last night for the testosterone jobbie...

One of them is more tenuous but certainly not too crazy. Now I\'d best remember the feeling of my hairy shaft in my hand...my paintbrush that is.

Seriously well done Nathan!

If you have managed to get the Rev interested, then there is going to be no stopping you:flip:

EDIT: For maximum marks however, you will need to grab Sturmhalo\'s attention as well.

Sharing a house, they would have such fun trying to keep their ideas and progress secret. Sneaking off for a session with their hairy shafts when they thought no-one was around...:flip:

Good point!

I have been back and corrected my error.

How could anyone doubt that your household obviously has it\'s full complement of \'shafts\':D

I\'m definately in. I say that everytime I see a comp, but this time I\'m already working on something that fits the bill nicely.

Why isn\'t GW on the sponsor list? Surely they are extremely receptive to small independant comps like this :D

Well sounds like you\'ve really got some great sponsors there Nathan and I wish everyone the best of luck with the next competition. But I might have to sit this one out as well. I\'m still trying to get an ogre finished for the paint aid project, whilst working on the mini exchange thing. Plus I need to start thinking about GD entries at this stage and I have a lot less time available to paint that I had last year, what with some new hobbies in my life. However, I would very much like to join in on your critter-related one, depending on when you run it and did someone else mention one theme about dragons? :D

Regards

Kat

Are you saying you\'re a \"mini\"? I\'m so sorry..:(

I think testosterone is what\'s on the loose in this thread!

But honestly, FF, great job organizing all of this, especially getting all the sponsers onboard. I can\'t wait to get started, just have to finish what I\'m working on now, then grab one of my men...
:D

Also, keep in mind to not announce publically what you are intending to paint (or even speculate) as all entrants are meant to be annonymous.
Oops, have I inadvertantly disqualified myself? I\'m sorry, I wasn\'t aware of the anonymity caveat. I\'ll keep it down from now on.

Hey everyone, sorry that I haven\'t gotten back sooner, its been a busy one! Thanks for all the well wishes, I appreciate it.

It looks like things are shaping up quite nicely for the contest with the list of sponsors growing and those showing a genuine interest in the competition. I expect there will be some heavy competition in a few of the catagories (hey, the more the merry I say).

Since I\'m at it, I would like to announce that Sacred Blade Miniatures has signed on for sponsoring the contest. We all know that he has some interesting miniatures and I\'m sure those will be well received by whomever receives it. Thanks Pete!

As I\'ve had a bit of problems/questions in some other forums, I just want to point out to everyone to remember to read the RULES and INFO section on the contest page (its the link to the right that says rules and info). Discussing options and trying to get a feel for the type of miniature that is acceptable is more than fine, just don\'t go belting out what you are doing. We can be a bit lienient the first time around, but afterwards I imagine folks will get a bit snitty over it.

The prizes like the last contest, will go to the winners of each catagorey and the Random Schmuck prizes will be given out randomly to entrants (I imagine quite a number of those actually as there is a good bit of product flowing into the house right now). My kids will do the picking and pulling for names per the usual (I\'ll coral them better this time though so the buggers don\'t run off with them!).

Now, onto some quick responses.

@ Finn17

Hah, no, not very many came looking for me - I had to do the \'hat in hand\' bit and I\'m rather pleased with the turn out.

As for running it quarterly, well I certainly intend to give it a damn good try, but as you said privately, hopefully it won\'t turn into a millstone. I don\'t expect it will as I\'ve done my best to try and keep things streamlined.

@ Dragonsreach

Yeah, I figured you might have had a bit on your plate with all the Paint Aid bits going on (damn fine work you\'ve done there Mike, thanks).

Got the next few contests already worked out, so I look forward to you being able to join the next.

@ Dammekkos2

Hah! \'nuff said.

@ Rev

Oooh, I imagine you\'ll get your chance with something undead\'ish here soon. This should be interesting to see none-the-less.

@ kittykat23uk

We\'ll catch you on the next one Jo. Creatures and Critters abound in the future.

@ Levdir

What .. no I didn\'t hear anything about a miniatures (pssst .. delete your post ...).

:innocent:

Enjoy folks!

Bugger, doing a back to back post, but heck, I\'m happy to report another sponsor has been added to the contest. We\'ve been playing e-mail \'tag\' for a bit apparently as our messages to each other have been gobbled up by the critters of the internet.

Anyhow, Heresy Miniatures (they make those great Big Boris miniatures) is on for the ride. Thanks Andy.

Looking at the list of painters joining this one, I\'m feeling MORE then a little INTIMADATED!

But looking at the list of sponsors, there just may be a random Shmuck in there with my name on it... lol

@Duende - $hit happens with age. :(

(thank God I started out with extra) ;):D
