Taken from the Wyrd site. man I love this miniature line. And it keeps getting better and better. The next releases sure are worth checking out. I love those. Rasputina and the undertaker were painted by EricJ and the gravediggger by Ritual.

As the Wyrd Universe grows and becomes more cohesive, we bring you the next installment of miniatures for Wyrd.

Each of these individuals will have a role and a dark outlook in the character driven skirmish game that is in development. More on that as it unfolds, but for now, six new miniatures (seven if you count the familiar) for your painting pleasure.

Available now in the online store.

Wow! Very cool sculpts!

The painting is awesome as well.. suitable moody. But the pictures on NIcodem are very dark

Love Mortimer! Great work Anders, especially on that characterful face! :)

I totally agree with Avelorn, the painting of the gravedigger is far better than the rest - especially the face, a lot of character there!

Best wishes

I love these.

Just wondering, all of the Wyrd minis seem to be for an odd Magic/Cyberpunk universe, is there any particular game world, game or background to go with them?

On a note (was mention over at Wyrd) the stitching on the undertaker is all freehand!

As far as rules and a connected game, i don\'t think there is one (yet). Just damn nice miniatures to paint.

A game is in development. I\'m not sure when the game will be finalised, but all minis from now on are produced with this game in mind. The Undertaker, Gravedigger and the Samurai-Punk zombies are all part of the same faction.

Wyrd has really kicked up their line recently....each new mini seems better than the last.

I really am looking forward getting my hands on some of these!

Very cool. I love the look. I\'m guessing the Steampunk Mage and Pandora\'s Box are another faction. Any fluff avaliable, or any more info? Give us a Teaser (besides the awesome minis).

Yeah, due to the fact the game and fluff is all being worked on by a bunch of already overworked individuals, it\'s coming along as it comes along. Nathan mentioned something about Gencon being a nice goal, but this is of course just a rumor :D

Man that Ice Witch is Sweet. (I was going to say cool but thought better of it.)
There is some really nice stuff coming out of Wyrd-Games.
Methinks if I\'ve any spondoolies left after Salute I might be treating myself.

At the time being you will have to make do with what the minis tell you about the game! It\'s very early in it\'s design stage so there\'s not much to tell anyway! But, from looking at the minis released so far you can probably gather that the world it\'s set in is not the nicest of places! ;) Nathan might tell you more, but it\'s really his call to make!

haha, yeah, Anders and I just don\'t want nathan to cut off our supply of minis for saying too much

What Eric and Anders said above pretty much sums it up as an overworked group as it is (oh the wonders of being financially able to devote time specifically to Wyrd and not real life woes).

Suffice it to say, the setting is dark with a lot of not nice individuals with what we hope is an interesting background and the artwork and the like being put together for it is, in my opinion, some of the best out there at the moment which will likely make an appearance, in a fashion, at GenCon.

Fluff and the like will start to make itself known here in the near future.

As for the game itself, I\'m a firm believer in learning to crawl before walking, much less running. We\'ve just taken our baby steps and the game will be in alpha/beta stage for some time before I\'m comfortable enough to put it to the public, though at that time it\'ll likely be given over to some extensive public testing from those want/wishing to do so (with some goodies involved of course for those taking the time to help us out).

Some fun stuff planned for this year, and thanks to all of you showing an interest.

Just a review of the minis, for those who have never ordered from wyrd.

First the metal used is nice and solid, so while wyrd minis do have thin parts, they are MUCH more sturdy than Rackham for instance.

Second, and what amazes me, is that Nathan actually eyeballs every mini and pulls off flash and rejects pieces with prominent mould lines! I\'ve seen him do it, it\'s amazing. While I figure this isn\'t something that will last forever, this little quality control measure is a nice touch. I mean, I\'ve never had troubles with miscasts or mouldlines, and I have at least one of every sculpt, so out of about 40 minis I\'ve had my hands on, none were bad, even on the annoying level, definately none on the problematic or unusable level.

Finally, from a painter point of view the sculpts are all very clean and easy to paint. It makes it fun :)
