This was my entry into the WaMP Wyrd contest. I had the good fortune of placing second. Thanks to the folks over at WaMP for putting together a very successful contest as well as Demonherald for taking time out of his busy schedule to do the judging.
Comments and critiques always welcome!

I hope Jabberwocky doesn\'t mind me answering for him, and I hope even more that I am right...

Those blue rocks are soulstones, which are a highly sought after mineral in the \"Mailfaux\" setting which is the game environment for Wyrd mini\'s coming out sooner or later.

I really liked not only the painting of the entry but Jabberwocky using a little of the fluff from the setting Wyrd is creating.

Freakinacage (it\'s Tim, right?), if you\'re at all interested the eZines over on wyrd have some more fiction and stuff in them, and it\'s pretty cool. I am looking forward to the eventual release of the game.

Painting was great, basing was great, and the story element was great so overall, I think you can guess how I feel!

And the linky to wyrd games. the ezines are pretty slick!

Yup, Scott nailed it. I tried to add a bit of fluff to the mini. The soulstones are minerals that can hold magical energy. The interesting (and most desired) ability is that the magical energy is rechargeable with the stones. The only \"slight\" drawback is that it is lifeforce that recharges the stones (hench the name). If the stones are in close proximity to someone that dies, that person\'s lifeforce is drawn into the stone. The other bit of fluff is the railroad track that the witchling is standing on. Malifaux is set in the Old American West from the 1880\'s. The \"iron horse\" has made it way to this breach to another, highly magical world.
