I had issues with what angles I wanted to show for this piece - the shoulder pads I thought came out well but to get them in the shot I would have to give up better views of the front, etc. So I did the best I could.
I also learned that grey is a tremendous pain in the arse to blend and have the hilites show up the way I want. You would think I would\'ve remembered that from the Fire Giant.....

are you supposed to black line the face and the where armour plates join? From a moder\'s point of view, i don\'t like how the ax is held. i\'d place the hand lower on the handle.
The Helm of Russ looks great and so does the fur. i can\'t tell if it\'s the lighting, or paint, but his right (our left) shelder pad looks a bit harsh on the highlight... but it could be the light.
Other than that i\'d say it looks great. i\'d give it an 8, but i tend to think everything\'s one point higher than it gets, so i\'d say 7-ish is about right for this guy... maybe a little higher, but i definitely think blacklining the armour at least will help this one a lot.

Blacklining to me is a personal preference. Some people use it, some don\'t.
I tend to use it only on really deeply recessed divisions. I did use it sparingly on this model, but I don\'t use it in between every plate seperation nor at all on the face.

He\'s been carrying the axe around, but hasn\'t engaged in close quarters battle yet. He\'s holding it closer to the center of gravity for ease of portal.

I like him but I have two questions..
1. Isn\'t he dressed kind of warm for the green grass he is traipsing through?
2. What the hell is a YARFC?
Things I like:
The face is great with good expression.
The hair is wonderful, especially the braids.
The focal lenses look very cool, as does the details around his waistline and chestplate.
The inside of the cape. Looks just like tanned hide!
Things that seem a little off:
The flatness of the armor. You have done a good job on the gloved hand holding the axe, but the rest just seems to lack a little.
The red on the shoulder (in the back view) adds interesting color, but looks like it spills onto the armor.
Still overall, good work!

You bringing that to St. Augustine (Grailquest) in July? Looks sweet. Just a little more highlights on the armor (as almost everyone has said.
Might autumn (brown) up the grass a bit. I know we don\'t get a dead grass season here in FL (lawn mower runs all year), but those yankies think if you wear fur, the grass should be brown.

I guess the fur cape might be a bit much for the greenery, but, hey, isn\'t Greenland mostly ice and Iceland mostly green?
And a YARFC is me not wanting to type out \'yet another request for comments\'. Which you just made me do anyway. So nyah. I do see the spot of red bleeding over...touch up here I come.
