Okay, I know this is a lame excuse for a topic, but I haven\'t started a topic in a couple of pages. 
For our non-American friends, this is to get even for all the Euro-centric threads (Rugby, Eurovision, Salute, etc...) lol
Anyhow, I\'d like to get some input from the rest of the country. Here on Long Island this is one of the biggest holidays of the year. Have you ever seen JAWS? You know, where the community leaders didn\'t care if a shark was eating people, so long as it didn\'t ruin their holiday weekend? It\'s all true! Not the shark part, but we would TOTALLY freak out if anything threatened our tourist industry.
Basically, LI is like a great social wasteland, without anything exciting EVER happening for ten months. We go about our dreary lives like mindless zombies, numb from all the excruciating boredom...
And then it happens!
SUMMER!!!!!!!!!
The millions of tourists flood in, all the REALLY cool clubs out East open up, and LI becomes party central for two months! It\'s like Spring Break in Florida, but it last two months! :bouncy:

Then... school starts... we roll up the sidewalks... board up the clubs... and go back to our bleak existance for another 10 months...
