:) Started this one back in 07 actually. And worked on it now and then since. I did most of it 08 but fixed some things and gave it a base now in January.

This one will be auctioned in favour of The Little Angels Charity Contest next week. Be sure to check out the competition, bunch of great prizes and for an awesome cause.

Anyway, hope you like it.

Edit: Replaced the images with some rather large close-ups. :) Hope these do the paintwork more justice. I've repainted some parts as well, added more coloured shading.

sweet work :) love the subtle tones brought into the face, the very subtle hairs on the arms and legs add so much subtle character.

the freehand is realy nice as well, very subtle adding great detail yet not screaming out freehand wankery.

The only gripe (and i'm getting very picky with this) is that the base looks muddy, yet his feet are relatively clean (told you it was nit picking!)

The highlights for me are the face and the blue fabric. The other parts are really nice as well. I hadn't even noticed the growth on the tree until freak mentioned it, but that's really nice as well.

The hair looks tough to paint, the way it's sculpted.

Good stuff.

This is fantastic every where you look is quality. I like the understated freehand and the face is just brill.
I think this will make someone very happy.

Really sweet job! Agree on what Crooked said about the hair, but apart from that, I just love what you did with the lil' bugger. And I could swear the face reminds me of someone, I just can't put my finger on it... argh!

I'm slightly bothered by the current scores as it's going for an auction. I really don't consider this subpar other work I've done recently, and would thus have expected it to be around a 9. Could it be that people are fed up with Yarrys or can I perhaps present the images in another way? I just want it to sell for as much as possible. I'm thinking of reshooting with a darker background.

That's really nice with that background, I prefer it like this. I don't really understand why you don't actually have a better rating as I think you should be around 9.2/9.4. I'm gonna give you lots of 10 for you to get it. I don't think people are fed up with Yarris as yours is really good, and there are thousands of space marines and you still can get a more than 9 rate if you paint one good.

Very well done. The base compliments the fig quite well.

At first glance he looks like a midget Clint Eastwood - (squeaky little voice) 'go ahead, make my day'

I've replaced the images in the top post now. :) I opted for larger close-ups, I recon that the most important part is that whoever bids gets a good look before buying. Thanks again for the feedback.
