Yeti - the most risible film I ever did see!

If you - like me - have made time to watch this film (I should have realised that a Premiere on the Sci-fi Channel is not the same as a Premiere on a proper film channel), you will agree it is the most pathetic attempt at movie-making possible in this modern day and age. It was so bad I wet myself. Anyone else?

Thankfully no. I\'ve learned from bitter experience that anything as a Premiere Film on SCi-Fi Channel Blows Sucks and Fa*ts at the same time.

Yeti sports was a more convincing animation! Utter shite it were, that film. Continuity, animation, cut scenes, everything was appalling.

Missed it.(thankfully), but you made me go learn a new word:

Risible:
arousing or provoking laughter ; especially : laughable

Avelorn

Sven Jonsson
This one?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0896585/

Maybe I\'ll give it a try...

Yeah thanks for making me learn a new word! :D

That\'s the very one Sven! Made in 2008....straight to Sci-fi Channel lol

Risible is, I think, from the French \'rirer\' - to laugh. I might be wrong though :D

And wrong I was! Latin root, so I\'m assuming the French borrowed it from there too. Ah, this internet is a wonderful tool.

I agree it was truly awful......possibly even worse then \'Mega snake\' or the terrible \'Boa vs Python\' (on later this week if any ones interested:yes: ). But if you want to experience the true face of shockingly terrible filmmaking try Zone Horror ch319....... I once made it through 15 minutes of \'Snakes on a train\' I kid you not......... (To be honest Zone Horror is my secret shame.........much to my girlfriends disgust).

Hey, I OWN a copy of Snakes on a Train. And Megalodon. And War of the Worlds starring C. Thomas Howell.

Mostly because when the video store throws sales on it\'s often quite a bit cheaper to by 10 DvD\'s then it is to buy less. After picking up a stack every now and again I\'ll get one of those stinkers JUST IN CASE I find a gem! So far the batting average is not very good...

Also the Sci-Fi channel does some OK stuff I thinks. I liked the Dune mini-series they did. The follow up wasn\'t hot, but then I didn\'t like any of the follow up novels either.

I heard rumor way back when they were doing a Foundation big time mini series? Anyone else hear that?

The Sci-Fi channel sounds so intriguing.

I mean Sci-Fi and Horror...ALL DAY LONG.

The actual presentation is terribly bad TV shows from the 70\'s, \'home made\' equally terrible movies, fake wrestling, even fakier ghost hunters and infomercials.

For every one great show (battlestar galactica) they make 27 bad ones.

SKELETON MAN!

Ye GODS, what a waste of time! Although the general idea is to avoid Sci-Fi made movies, I do get caught up in them occasionally.

Especially when not feeling well.

Can\'t tell you how many times I\'ve seen \"Pteradactyl\"....

I am glad I missed \"Yeti\" though.

There really is not all that much to say about that movie other than it looks like a college film project that received an F. I do not know much about film making but I know I can make a horror movie that was more intense than that.

As for the acting, actors have to eat too... I think. Most of the ones that I see look like they need a cheeseburger. Maybe they need to support their crack habit.

One thing it has going is that it is better than any movie featuring Jennifer Lopez.

To be honest they do have a good sequence of TV shows. Some of which would have made good mainstream viewing. In particular I\'m thinking of Profiler.
But equally quite a lot of the \"movies\" have had worse plotlines than the Matt Varnish threads, and even more scriptwriters. lol

Recently they\'ve started showing \"Sea of Souls\" on a Friday night. Made by the BBC and starring Bill Patterson, wasn\'t bad.

Like I said my secret shame........ I once bought a few box sets of like 10 films including Bogey creek, spiders (and spiders 2) and Halloween 4 and 5 (but at least it wasn\'t halloween 3!!!!).

Oh and Ghost hunters might be bad but at least its not Most haunted or some of the programs on the new paranormal channel, I guess they finally found the bottom of that barrell:cussing:

I agree Sci-fi does has some good stuff on it I\'m enjoying Eli Stone. And Zone Horror has Millenium (Series 1 I mean).
I also saw the first episode of Apparitions on BBC1 on Thursdays that wasn\'t bad for a TV horror.

I get real giddy when they play Friday the 13th: The Series and Tales from the Dark Side all day long. Outer Limits is good too.

Actually guys I\'ve just realised something about my earlier statement about Most Haunted etc........There is another show just started on Living TV in the UK on a Tuesday night that blows the others out of the water. This show has reached the bottom of the barrel and then carried on going to find new depths, welcome to the incurably tasteless world of \'Conversations with a serial killer\' where \"ex cop and psychic\" goes around America talking with dead serial killers in the places they lived or committed there crimes. And we must remember that the families of the victims are still alive, so that’s entertainment!!???
