ROFL!
I\'ll try not to sound like a pig, as I respect my wife above everyone else...
But I set the expectations pretty early---
I do what I want, as long it doesn\'t disrespect her. Same goes for her towards me. That\'s the expectation.
Also, I don\'t get into conversations around this. You bet your sweet behind she has her share of secrets. She\'ll deny it---and she\'s lying.
Basically, a relationship (especially marriage) is a non-stop battle to achieve the moral high-ground. Don\'t fall into the trap.
I would respond by saying \"Yea, okay hon....I just find the incessant crap you give me for keeping a secret easier to tolerate than the incessant crap you give me about my hobby\".
Let her speak...don\'t respond. And then when she\'s done, go order some more stuff and have it delivered to the house. Tell her, \"This is for me, not for people \'I don\'t know\".
Let her rant. When she does, you tell her:
\"This bitching is why I don\'t tell you when I order stuff\".
And then ask a simple question:
\"So, which is it you prefer:
I AM going to order stuff. Would you prefer I tell you or not? *I* prefer the method that nets me the least amount of bullshit from you.\"
But then..I\'m not much of one to tolerate this kinda crap. So, I guess that\'s a bit of a short-sighted answer.
