Yeah, I used to try and get my mam to make cow pies when I was a little\'un! She made steak pie, but it wasn\'t cow pie. Know what I mean? lol

I suppose the reflex would be to gorge on something wonderful, but I wouldn\'t want my last earthly thoughts to be \"that sure tasted better going down.\"
So that in mind, a small crust of fresh, warm bread, with melted butter. Some softish cheeses, nothing crumbly. Hot coffee and sweet tea.

One of the problems with death is that when you die, a lot of important muscles that keep you from being embarrased also quit on you. Yes being dead I\'ll probably care less, but I\'d still like to avoid it as much as possible.
So my last meal should be based on quality and not quantity.

In all fairness, that\'s a blinder. I read A Bourdain\'s book called Les Halles Cookbook or some such, and one of the guys favourite meals ever was fresh bread with real butter. How can that be topped? Genius. Another fella said asparagus griddled, so fair play to the good fella who said asparagus with hake.
Food is so fucking important, especially in a social setting. I\'d rather eat a decent meal with almost anyone than just have a pint (though I reckon a pint before the death meal is a must).
Food! We have senses so we should use them. Taste is an incredible thing. :beer:
Yea, me with the hake! Its the nicest meat/fish i have ever tasted and top with delicately sauted potatoes and very lightly boiled asparagus its simple amazing! Also possibly some of the most advanced cooking techniques iv used while doing my NVQ.
Problem is i cant seem to find hake fillets round my area anymore, except for at work, but im not allowed to take any home!

Dorado Fillets Grilled lightly drizzled with a butter and slight hint of garlic..Squeeze of Lemon on A steamed rice noodle with a side of fresh calamari and Black Olives..A Glass of Chateu Neuf du Pepys with the meal a couple of pint\'s of tetley\'s after ending with a few of my good old friend JD...
Also Truffle just to give the bastards killing me a bill to worry about.....
And if I can\'t get that Beans on Toast with cheese and lea and perrins..

Beef Wellington, almost without question... Some caul-roses (?) with cheese cream on the side and a nice big, cold beer. Yup, does it for me.
