Your favourate mini company and your least fav\'

Mainly gw but thats not to say i don\'t like all the others. Theres alot of small mini companies that have cool minis. If i had to choose one that i dont like i would be hard pressed. Reaper have really cool minis but i dont like the soft bendy swords. I think this is a downer considering the sculpts are cool. Not sure if all of reapers stuff is like that but the legend of the five rings stuff is way too soft. they would make good LARP characters with rubber swords.....erm i better go before reaper come knocking on my door ;) sort it!

Favourite ones:
Hasslefree, Ilyad, Rackham, Wyrd

... followed closely by...
Freebooter, Pegaso (for historical minis)

Least favourite:
GW, Reaper, plus a bunch of small companies that I don\'t wish to name

GW used to be high on my list, but their minis feels to \"mass produced\" ATM. Reaper employs a lot of talented sculptors who do great work elsewhere (so no shame on them), but the Reaper minis (with just a couple of exceptions) feel too lackluster.

I agree Reaper can be hit or miss. But there are gems in there as well. I love Jason Weibe\'s stuff, he does the worlds best monsters!

Basically I buy what i think is cool.. from anyone..and everyone. im a equal oppertunity hoarder :p

Yeah I think this basically sums my views up as well. If theres a good dragon from a particular line, I\'ll buy it, and that usually means Reaper and, previously, Ral Partha. I have a soft spot for Rackham\'s wolfen and devourers too. I used to like GW figures, but they\'ve not put much out recently that I\'ve been wowed by.

MSB Toys has been making a lot of interesting and inventive miniatures lately, I\'ve been getting more and more excited about their range.

I\'m also a GW fan

I\'m sort of like Supervike, I would probably say Rackham is my least favorite established range (there are always some little guys producing junk minis), I can see the talent there, just I do not connect with any of it, and have no motivation to pick any of it up.

Several companies have tried, but found their sculptors were dying of boredom.....:D

I am a fan of Werner Klocke, so it\'s no Wonder that I like his company FREEBOOTER the most, althought he did also some nice stuff for PP (totem-hunter) and Reaper (e.g. Sophie...).
Second is REAPER.

I dont like EXCALIBUR minis so this company is my least.

My faves have to be Hasslefree, Heresy, Freebooter and Ilyad games due to the character and/or smooth lines and great detail. I also love pretty much anything by Tom Meier, although I have yet to paint any! Oh, and I am a Rackham bitch too...

My least favourites are Reaper (they have some nice minis and good dragons, but the rest are tosh)...

And slap bang in the middle for me are GW whose line in general is pretty damn good, but the majority of their new sculpts just dont excite me any more

My Favorites:
GW-I love thier games and thier minis. Thier fluff is awesome. They were also the first miniature games I really played.

Rackham-I really like Confrontation/Ragnarok minis A LOT. The game (Confron, at least, Never played Ragnarok) is fun too.

I can\'t for the life of me remember who makes it, but Rezolution is a great game, IMO. The miniatures are atrocious, but the game is loads of fun.

My least favorite:
Well... actually, I haven\'t played a miniatures game I didn\'t appreciate on some level. I\'m actually not terribly fond of Warmachine, though it\'s not bad at all.

I guess I\'d have to say GW is my least favorite because they\'re so expensive. It\'s a love/hate thing.

Eh. I sort of consolidate this into a Game AND Mini sort of thing. For straight-up minis, Rackham and Privateer Press are my favorite, and Rezolution are the worst.

I love them all. Every company has some bad models here and there; some more than others. I like GW, Reaper is super affordable and a fun distraction from army painting. Hasslefree chicks rule. I don\'t really care for the Rackham stuff. I bought all the Fiannas when they were the rage. The pot-metal they use for casting means incredibly brittle minis. This is especially annoying considering all of them have impossibly thin ankles and wrists that like to bend/break. The really tiny limbs combined with grossly oversized weapons turned me off.

I would love GW even more if they would make plastic battle sisters.

Hey guys! (after lurking for a while... here is one of my first posts.)

I\'ll just mention the brands I like. As discussed previously by some of you, every brand has something nice to offer. So here it goes :

*Gw/Citadel (Essentially the Golden & Silver Age stuff from 1985-1995. Groundbreaking in term of design & personnality. These are/were a lot of fun to paint. I can\'t get enough of their Marauder sculps! Some current ranges are ok, however, IMHO I think they should focus less of plastics);

*Rackham (Terrific design. I think they learned a great deal from GW in term of design and marketing and now the apprentice surpass the master... I love the Lions and the Drunes.);

*Reaper (Very reminescent of Ral Partha and Grenadier. Very classy american fantasy style. They are look great on tabletop and they are cheap too!);

*Thunderbolt Mountain (few scultors can make miniatures of such elegance like Tom Meier);

Cheers!
