Your ideal Bust size (no, not the fleshy ones)

Hi all!

Just doing a little research and wanted to know what your ideal bust size would be. Like the title says i don't want your opinion on the fleshy kind So far the hobbyists i have spoken to have said they would prefer busts in a larger size than what is currently out there on the market.

Another question to all you bust lovers is where do you normally display your busts? In a cabinet? ontop of the fireplace, on a shelf, next to the t.v.?

any more than a handful's a waste.......oops now then er about 6-9 inches in height seems about right not too big not too small as for display areas well thats just personal choice i would say all the above

I like the smaller ones. A couple of inches or thereabouts. Any more and I find the prices start to rise

As far as Busts go if I'm holding one long term I prefer that it fits nicely in my hand.
Makes it easier to paint.

My preference is 1/6 (usually with the standard cutoff point, a little below the chest muscle).

Depending on the subject 1/9 can be okay, but the sculpting has to be really good for things of this scale or larger for me to really be interested because of the amount of time needed to paint that large an area.

I dunno, I resigned myself to reading this thread with dirty intent. I'm still not dissapointed =P

But to answer the thread, i'd say about 4-6 inches.

I do not have vast experience but I very much enjoyed a 1/6th bust and I think 10cm would be the smallest I would want to do smaller that than I may as well paint a whole figure IMO

That explains a lot about you then there doesn't it you do not have much experience with ample busts huh.
