Youtube pet peeve - new development..not an improvement!

Frequently when surfing I will listen to music on Youtube. I\'ve found it to be a great tool for checking out stuff before I buy.

Anyway, what I\'m coming across more and more are TONS of \'video\'s\' someone shot with a cell phone or some other piece of junk. The sound\'s terrible and the picture is always earthquake-ish. It\'s getting so that it\'s hard to find an original recording or anything with decent sound!

Life\'s rough...

Samw here Shawn

i use youtube for the very same reason and these cell phone videos are annoying the hell out of me. I wished someone could at least explain to me why people are shoting these videos. As a prove that they were theyre? That´s what the bandshirts they sell at the tour are for.
Or as the arctic monkeys once put it in an interview: People are going to all the trouble to make it trough the croud to the front row. And what are they doing ? they watch a concert through theyre cell phone:drunk:

but you know shawn theyre are other things about youtube that bug me even more

like the comments. Or the fact that one can find tons of illegal nazi propaganda videos :cussing:

When you take the time to travel somewhere to see a show, it\'s kinda nice to have a few pics from the event. Cell phone photos are pretty lame and terrible quality in the low/erratic lighting setups from concerts, but a real camera can take some decent stills which are nice to hang on to.

I took a couple dozen when a bunch of friends piled into a car and drove down to the coast to see Radiohead. It was a helluva show, some of the pics turned out nice, and driving for 12 hours a day through the Rockies in British Columbia wasn\'t a terrible way to spend a weekend either.

I like how pandora will bring up stuff I\'ve never heard of before. When I search on youtube I get twenty versions of the same thing.

Pandora was pretty good, but if you didn\'t like a particular songs, you can only skip a limited number of times in a limited amount of time. I found www.jango.com which I liked better. You can set up stations devoted to a particular artist or genre (I likes my 80s!). Like Pandora, it plays similar stuff to your tastes, but if you don\'t make suggestions of what you like, they will pick it for you, which may or may not be to your liking ;)

Tried it last night. I like it. It suggests related stuff I wasn\'t aware of.

DR - Can\'t get it on your side o the pond? www.pandora.com

Pandora\'s licensing agreements for the rights to the music they play limits the availability to listeners in the U.S.; people outside the U.S. get a \"Sorry\" message.

the \"new\" improvement that kind of sets me off is the Itunes garbage when you are listening to a video on there

the auto link to buy it on itunes

If i wanted to pay for it I wouldnt be on youtube! :cussing:
