went back to this mini and sorted out the contrast by enhancing the shadows as well as the highlights as well as putting into practice more of the metal work that i have learnt.

I liked this the first time round.. The reworking of the metals works great those highlights sure are sparkly...

The shadows could still do with a knock up (or down...) but at the same tie the overall piece doesn\'t miss them..great job....

Looks great! The metallics really shine. I also really like the grass on the base. What have you used for it?

thanks guys:)

@ ritual, the grass is wild grass with static grass around the edges of it, then painted.

it\'s a product by nock, i got it from antenociti http://www.barrule.com/Workshop/scratch%20builders%20paradise/grass%20herbe%20gras%20erba%20hierba.html

filed grass gives better results but as you know, it needs cutting to length so takes longer.
i use the wild grass for units now for speed and the field grass for display pieces.

hope that helps.

:)

Really nice one! Nice atmosphere and smooth painting. Some last shadows on some places to add a little definition would be my only point.
