Hi guys!

I will post the photos showing the painting process of this group.

First of all, a Haramaki, as a colour test i did to check if the client liked it.

I sent the photos to the client and, even though he liked it, he asked me to paint more yellow areas, mostly on the armor plates, and so I did. Here are the photos of the current state of the miniature, almost finished ;)

I have to agree with everybody else - the yellow does help. That said, it was looking dang nice before you changed it, and now it's looking dang, dang nice :) I'm guessing that you'll be working on this later anyway, but it could maybe use something to separate the mini from the base visually - theyre both kinda dark grey at the moment, so they kinda blend together. Still, very nice job.

I have a question - where did the base come from? It's just the kind of thing I've been looking for. Did it come with the mini (sorry - I'm not very clued up on infinity stuff) or did you get it somewhere, or is it one you cast up yourself?

@me_in_japan: The bases are from Micro Art Studio, specially designed for Infinity. You can get them here

*tips hat* much obliged. Cheers :)

Those really are rather nice models. So much so that I went and bought my first infinity mini yesterday :) Just for painting, mind you - last thing I need is another game system to get into...

You should give it a try dude, it's really dynamic and quite fun even when you are a noob just like me. It's like with Pringles chips "Once you pop, you can't stop" xD

The yellow parts have a Macharius Solar Orange (Foundation)+Scorched Brown, about 50-50. Next, Flat Yellow (VMC), applied using feathering, and finally, Bleached Bone (Citadel) for the highlights.

Major progress now, a big bunch of pictures!! Once I finish the TAG, it will be complete!

Looks really good! I love the colour scheme, and how they look together. Really nice work with the bases, too!

The TAG, however, I just feel like it will get too much yellow. I'd rather go with how the rest of the unit looks. Mostly black, with yellow to support it. Here, it looks to be the other way round. The yellow might just become too overpowering. Just my 2 cents.

Actually, the amount of yellow parts in the TAG was decided by the client, so there's not much I can do about it :p

The group is finished, i will post the pics on the Discuss Submission forum and paste the link here in a moment :)
