Home with the flu. Gorgeous day. Drinking tea, shivering and burning wood. Maybe not the smartest idea with flu-ee fumble fingers, but no burns! Then my burner bit broke off in the tool because I didn't wait long enough for it to cool before trying to change bits o_O But guess what's on sale this week at my local Micheals?! Ironic since I got the fist one on sale too :p Did some decaling after a nap and over painted them and gathered the stuff for my July contest entry. Now to find some Day of the dead skulls ref pics online...

Bit more done on the MV case. Staining is next :) Also got some busts from Tiny Leads and the book Modeling Stories in miniature from The Lady Inquisitor for my Bday. Quite a bit about sculpting in there o_O Next 2 books on my list are the MV art book and Fiopeadia! Very excited as the workshop with Fernando Ruiz is this weekend too!!! Good mini times, good mini times...

That's some very fancy box art you're doing there. Have fun at the workshop, wish he would come somewhere closer to me some time. I'd love to learn his magic ways.

Great job on the wood burning Zab. Very inspiring work. The Space Marine and Samurai in the field are my favorites.
Might have to look into getting a new paint rack and try my hand at wood burning...

Thanks all! Yeah i just found a bunch of line art that really speaks to me and had some fun (because i suck at drawing). I did some freehand too - paisley is easy and fun and looks great everywhere o_O I'll get back to minis soon I swear. i 'm just alittle burnt out after those NOCF squads :)

Nah i'm no where near organised to have a painting box. Mine are carelessly strewn about my hobby table (it's organised chaos though and I know where EVERYTHING is promise)

I only got it for when i travel as my weird little tool box makes me feel odd cause people look at me funny like "what kind of contractor has a tiny tool box like that?" If i have this then i look artsy and people see my tattoos and decorative box and think "tattoo artist or something, cool". ;)

I ordered mine 3 weeks before you did and I'm still waiting... I'm pretty sure it's stuck in customs.

Haha! Everyone wants my box o_O I feel like I have some insight now as to what girls go through in highschool :p That's is my one off color remark for the year, I promise. I'll keep it classy from now on... Just packed my painting kit for this weekend. I'll be working on my first ever historical with Mr Ruiz:

Quite apropos as I have direct ties to this bastard. These are the guys who Christianized Lithuania which is where my mom was from. I even did a project on the battle for Grunwald Forest when I was in grade school complete with a diorama that I built with my dad and some of those toy metal and plastic knights you used to get in hobby stores near the dinky cars. Touche fate, touche (Insert slow, sarcastic clap here) :clap:

Really cool design work! I'm not sure which is more impressive, the box art or doing it without injuring yourself. I consider it a good day if I can make dinner without burning myself.
