The town seems to be most empty and without welcoming food and drink places.

Has anyone ever been? know anywhere good to feed and water ones self?

I\'m only here until Thursday so it\'s not a disaster if I don\'t find anywhere.

The response kind of sums it up really! lol

I went there once in the eighties when it was all still Yugoslavia. I seem to remember it being reasonably attractive. I was too young for drinking and whoring.... :D

No kidding mate... I\'m not going to slate the place but will say i\'m glad i\'m going home tonight!

2 seriously un-funpacked nights are all I can take.

I was told about the great food too, haven\'t been able to find any yet... Slovenia was the exact opposite, nice place, lovely food and drink.

Come back London, all is forgiven!

Good grief, it must be bad if it makes London look good. I don\'t venture into Croydon without my body armour and pepper spray these days ;)

I believe whomever lived there has moved to my hometown here in America.

We have a huge influx of Croats, and a thriving community of them here.

WTH are you doing looking for food in Zagreb, anyway? The best in Croatian food you\'ll find along the coast. Then again, if you\'re not into seafood, that might not be ideal. Still good stuff, though. (plug) You\'d have been better off in Sarajevo. Lots of Cafés, and eateries of any kind, especially in the old town. Local cuisine is a great mix of eastern-European and Oriental foods (so you might have problems getting pork... no biggie though), all tasty and dirt cheap in comparison (cheaper than Croatia, as well)... Damn, I need to get myself down there this summer...(/plug)

Off to book a flight

bloody wannabe kiwis...

The one thing that cracked me up about NZ was pride about having the biggest of X, Y & Z and then mutter \"...in the southern hemisphere\" quietly.

This is *the* biggest cinema... in the southern hemisphere

I mean... good going! especially with all the competition \'n\' all.

Anyway, I was in Zagreb for work but i\'m thrilled to be home. which is sad really, that rarely happens as I hate blighty.

Well, the main competition is Aus. Which also has a healthy dose of \"The BIGGEST(!) X.... in the Southern Hemisphere.\" So they get to play \"beat the neighbours\" and everyone\'s happy! :D
