My first foray into painting verdigris with the GW nihilakh oxide technical paint. This will fast become the dominant color scheme in my undead classical greek army as they are all armed and armored in bronze. I really like how the effect has turned out.

This is an old Ral Partha Skeleton Titan (02-424) decked out in hoplite gear. Next to him is a Eureka Skeletal Greek Hoplite (100SKL02) for scale. He's still painted simply with a bronze base with no nihilakh oxide wash.

The titan is painted with the high contrast bone over a black undercoat that I used to use for all my skeletons. The regular hoplite is painted with the bone undercoat/brown wash that I like to use with at least my smaller figures these days. I still need to do some touch up work as he's old and some of the paint has chipped.

Next up, three of the heroes/characters in my undead classical greek army; Achilles, Jason & Ajax.

These are from the Spartan Games "Heroes of Myth & Legend" line (SPGHML011 Skeleton Pack 'E').

These figures were cast in a really weird scale for war-gaming: 40mm. As such, they're way too big to go into the phalanx. But they make good individual heroes/characters. Again shown with a Eureka Skeletal Greek Hoplite (100SKL02) from my main phalanx for scale.

I just added the verdigris with GW Nihilakh Oxide. I originally primed/based these with a bleached bone color and then "dipped" them in strong tone Quickshade from Army Painter. I don't really like the effect because it leaves a shine. Plus the Quickshade is very sticky. I've now switched pretty much to doing a wash or two with something like GW's Agrax Earthshade or some other sepia/brown wash. Still have to do some washes/highlighting on the clothing.
