Just voted. This is freaking awesome work man!
I'd love to be able to push my painting this far. Please post more!
Thank you!Well done, it's great work you're doing
Great job on the salamander. Love the shiny armor effect
The blue one looks very promising already.
As gorb already said in the comment, the NMM could use some more contrast. The deepest shadows could be darker and I would also add some small lights on the final highlights -> Edgehighlights/some small dots. If pure white is too harsh for your taste try something like ivory. But the positioning of light and shadows looks very good already and the NMM works
Would also add some small lightdots on the armor to make it pop even more.
Excited to see moreLooks very very promising so far.
Thank you! I'm trying to be better!Marvelous work zero!!! Indeed!!
Yep, better already. But you can still push the contrast further with edge highlights and some darklining in between the parts. It adds contrast and more definition for a even more tidy look (if you want to achieve such a look.
I made a quick sketch to show you what I mean. I also enlarged and deepend the shadows a bit on the "feathers"

Edit: For the edge highlights, don't paint the whole edge. In my sketch it's probably a bit too much already. A consistent line might look odd. Concentrate on the edges where your highlight is sitting (since light is obviously hitting that spot) and break the line here and there. Don't frame the whole thing.
That shiny salamander is realy to notch, you're a true master when it comes to NMM. If I may give you one tip, try to paint fabrics less shiny then the great NMM you're doing. Fabric is not as reflective. Other than that : I can only dream to be ever half as good a painter as you are already.
